@Improv247 I have that elastic hands now, but I haven't trained my kicks enough yet, also didn't learn to do dummy or the double knives. I had to stop half-way as I don't have a cheap and good master here in Toronto :( Yip Chun, my master, is a fun and smart old man to learn from. Not a lot of masters are that fun. I don't like masters who are so darn serious about everything.
@Improv247 You are right. I would suggest you to get "hit" by them often, and be bold. Bug them and ask them to hit you. I did that and they won't do it to me! They often chose to hit someone else instead of me I thought it was unfair! Eventually I was able to detect their "sudden release". Yes this is what i have been saying here all along. The sudden release thing. It's explosive power in nanosecond. This video cannot prove whether the master is "too much force" though. He has to combat to see
@intirayami If you are always relax how are you going to deflect or hit your opponent? You have to have moments of tightenedness. I am sure it's just written words that prevents us from communicating well enough.
@intirayami No, I was disciple of Ip Chun, his brother. Relaxation is most of the time required, and we tighten the force only when we finally make contact, or when we have to divert the opponent at the right moment. But just a short moment.
@intirayami And I finally can tell why Bruce Lee was so fast after learning wing chun from Ip Chun. Bruce power is applied in very efficient way. His punch is fast, because he only tighten his muscle when his punch land on the body of opponent. This what they call the inch power.
@intirayami I know what you are talking about. But no, what I meant was, 太用力 really depends on the real fights. Simply displaying 寻桥 or playing with wooden dummy you can't tell whehter the person is 太用力. Bruce Lee also seems very powerful, but he is actually very relaxed during fight.
@ozzie1246 I m saying he is wrong. some turns too much and some not enough. "Swords depends on footstep, Pole depends on hands". Well even Ip Man's sons are wrong, what do u expect? There are freedom to put thing on internet in these days even it is wrong. What can we say ? Good luck with meeting the true masters everybody, not just wing chun.
@bigfatdick5000 Yes, there are breathing requirements for the external movements, breath naturally. Weather or not there is an inhalation or exhalation or a special way of breathing with the stomach, all depends on who you learn the exercise from. If you learn from a video, make sure they instruct on proper breathing, otherwise just breath naturally and try not to speed up or slow down breathing.
people practise these forms for relaxation and health keeping in chiense society. Not everyone's kung fu lover but this helps keep body in good condition hahaha .
Ba Duan jin - is it all you need to do is copy his "physical" movements ? there's no more 'internal instructions' that you need to know before starting ba duanjin ?
be honest to say, seriously he does the wrong action. 1.) sword by step movement he doesnt have, not even turning enough of his body. 2.) over action, all the movement is more than what it needs 3.) for wing chun, all tiny bit of difference is bad enough to get hit
iwent to a school that taught the the lohan shiba shou or spelled similar we did exercises that were similar to this can any one tell me if this starts with something called shooting zen?
This is a rare treat indeed!!! To be able to see the Bat Jam Do form as it was passed on from Ip Man to Ip Ching!!! VERY VERY RARE footage indeed. Thanks for posting
the first video in the related videos list is part of shaolin yijinjing. master shi deyang (in the video) has a series of instructional videos out on shaolin arts.
The third section is generally ok but the stepping back stance should weight on the hind leg. As a "master" Samuel Kwok should have a concrete understanding of his craft but I don't see that. Like I say, when you guys are in HK, make sure to ask your si-gung! It is high time for "master" Kwok to learn some refinements so he can teach you guys right!
In the first section, the movement of the "Sheun Garp Do", the double pressing knife is supposed to be 45 degrees to the line of attack, not perpendicular to the spear like Sam was doing! How can you stop the piercing spear with no forward force component? Second section, the "Jum Do" move is supposed to be linear motion without turning of the wrist. The "Tor Do", dragging knife, the elbows are not supposed to bend.
This is the best knife form i have seen on you tube!! it does the Wing Chun of Ip Man/Ip Ching proud. The simple precision of the 八斬刀 (Bart Cham Dao) follows the simple precision of 詠春 (Wing Chun). GREAT CLIP THANKS!
其實佢係唔係學錯咗……
唔好傻!你话佢错?你知唔知佢系边个? 佢系叶问个第二个仔。。。
非常好的養生健身功法!

@intirayami 空手道,你该知道这种拳法是个用用力的式. Doesn't matter, you can still use the wing ching way of using forces to apply it into 空手道 and make it better.

@intirayami 太用用力的. It's only a problem when you use too much force during fights.

Don't worry, New Zealand is clean, environmental and lineage wise. The only thing needs to be cleansed is you mouth! Brah ha ha ha!
Horse ass baby, I know you are either a Leung Thug's or Ip Chun's clan. You are the real "on 9" but who cares, you already signed out!
