KISS Vinyl Tag 2024
Here is my KISS Vinyl Tag 2024. For the original list of content, please see @RacerRecords I have taken the following list from his original video.
Here are the questions thanks for participating!
1: First and last Kiss record you bought.
2: Show a Kiss album you have that has everything that came with it still in it. I cant remember if the Canadian version had the Order form in it that others did, So I may be cheating on my own question.
3: A five word review of Kiss Meets The Phantom of The Park Movie.
4: Show your favorite non Make Up Album.
5: Most prized Kiss memorabilia.
6: Show a bootleg.
7: Rank the Solo Albums in Order. First to last or last to first your call.
8: Show a Kiss Picture Disc.
9: Show a ticket Stub from any Kiss show you saw.
10: In 82/83 Eddie was getting so fed up with David lee Roth he apparently talked to Gene wanting to join Kiss, So in his Honor, as an almost member of Kiss, show me your favorite Van Halen Album.

11: Show an album by either Peter or Ace after leaving Kiss, or both.
12: Your favorite KISS album

The Elephant in the Room!

A closer look at The White Stripes 20th Anniversary releases of their 2003 album, Elephant. I do make a mistake when discussing the riff for Seven Nation Army. I mention the bass string, but I know the riff was played on the A string. I was thinking of the bass sound it produces and had a brain fart. Vinyl Vagrants: KISS - DYNASTY Review
Capricorn is from December 22 to January 20. Paul just sneaks in there
This is my favorite Kiss album, not a bad song on it at all in my opinion. I wish they would've had a guitar solo on the album version of R&R All Nite. I appreciate your review and insights!
Thank you!
Great video! Just subbed you up!
The shirt your wearing is really cool never seen that one before! Nice video!
Thanks...KISS Online sold it with the last anniversary release of KISS Alive II.
My fav Gene solo album (1978) song is Tunnel Of Love too.
Good critique
I recorded my response to this just this morning, and as I was about to edit it, your video popped up. New subscriber here too. At first, that bootleg looked like it was title Live Jive :).
This looks fun I'll have to get in on this..subbed to you as well..I'm Paul.Thanx for sharing and take care
Great review, and love the demo version of Strutter - I'm curious if this was the original recording with Eddie Kramer. Keep the videos coming.
Great video, I just need to clarify something for you though. 10th Anniversary was in reference to the 10th anniversary of the band, and 40th anniversary was in reference to the album. 2 totally different meanings, as the 10th anniversary version came out in 1983, not 1993.
Thank you! I thought that might be it, but wasn't sure.
Great Review!!
First thanks so much for being the first to do the tag that's awesome! Second thanks for the kind words. The Pinball is wonderful and I am lucky it still works after all these years. So I watched the tag and I really enjoyed it, I had commented all along to each response and they were great, i went to tag someone right at the end, and i navigated away thinking I had saved all the comments, I didn't LOL So here we go with view # 2 K I am gonna save now so if you see this and there is nothing else, It is because i am still watching :-) Man I had some good responses the first time LOL I know i commented I loved the copy of Lick It Up. Really should be a box set, you know gene probably has the tapes somewhere in his office. When i thought of this question really it was to see how many still had a Love Gun, Im still trying to find a copy that has one in it, it might be tough. I may have cheated a bit on my own as I dont know if the order form came in Dynasty, probably did, but :-) The movie did not age well, but man when it came out I sure loved it :-) And fantastic review! Lick it up was my second choice and maybe it was revenge as i had recently listened to it. Dig the set, I don't know why we leave stuff sealed but we do. That is a great looking bootleg and a cool story to go with it. A good boot is hard to find, but awesome when you do. I love Pete but he belongs at 4, the next two are interchangeable to me, as I picked gene 3rd but now you've made me move him up LOL, Ace is Ace and wow that is a beauty copy and autograph. Nice Picture disc! I will give you a pass on the ticket stub, and now am in anticipation of the substitute, well i was the first time I watched LOL and it is a great substitute and a great copy!! Anomaly is great and I love the cover, I am looking forward to 10,000 Volts. Again VV thanks so much for being #1 it was awesome, thanks for the sub, i hope you can find some more interesting content on my page, and I have reciprocated on the sub and look forward to future content. Thanks!!!
Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully this tag will slowly gain momentum. I need to tag some other KISS accounts. You've got a great channel!
Thank you for the kind words, I really enjoyed yours, I hope it does as well. Have an awesome day and again thanks!
Those early demos have been released several times. I have the "standard" 12" single version of Unholy, which is the same as your UK promo version (but with a different label). They were also released on the UK 12" Forever single. And on the 2001 box set. AND, they were on the First KISS...Last Licks promo album. Great video!
Thanks for the information.
This is amazing! I don't have any mono records in my collection or any white stripes for that matter... (only in CD) but it feels really exclusive doesn't it? Thanks for sharing!
KISS? LOL
Night Songs is one of the great hair metal albums of all time. It's up there with Shout at the Devil, Out of the Cellar & Look What the Cat Dragged in.
That green winger vinyl is pretty nice
...I was handed Dressed to Kill, and mesmerized by the cover, as well as the music. I had not seen anything Kiss at that time, and thought they dressed like that. Then Alive came out! Wow!
...I had to get it. The next day we went to the record store in the mall. I went right to the counter, and asked for the album with RaRAN...
I was 14 years old in the spring of 1975. I was in the car with my mom going to visit my grandmother. This great song came on over the Top 40 AM radio station - Rock and Roll All Nite....
Really enjoyed your review of Core. Not sure if you’re still making content but I would love to see you review Purple.
Thank you!!
Destroyer and love gun kiss' 2 best albums I wonder if love gun will get the same treatment?
They have already hinted it's next.
Some footage of that Kiss afternoon show in Paris (may 76) . The concert Cd is a bootleg , but still a good quality one. They wore the Alive costumes. ua-cam.com/video/pkbHMWMSsm4/v-deo.html
$200 is ridiculous. More like $30, and throw away all the poster crap you'll only look at once.
Metallica owns the rights to their music, and also owns a vinyl press/record label. They can do whatever they want with any of their albums. Kiss still has to work with a record label, so they will always have some restrictions. Still really cool box sets from both bands!!
The Atmos Blu-ray is going to be really cool and will be crazy to hear. Unfortunately, I don't have the proper equipment to experience it.
Me neither. I just have a sound bar and a subwoofer connected to my blu-ray.
The live album has been around in great sounding vinyl for years. Stoned in Paris was quite easy to come by back in the day.
It can now be bought on popmarket for $179
The biggest disappointment for me is that there's no video at all! Huge, huge let down for me. There's three pro-shot shows from the Destroyer tour that are available but weren't included. And not including the vinyl in the actual box set is also a let down. But I already pre-ordered and I can only hope they make a better box set for "Rock and Roll Over" and "Love Gun". I'm looking forward to the Blu-Ray audio. That was the selling point for me.
Good point! That's why we did a minor comparison to the Metallica box set. I think once the band plays their final show, we will get more video, etc. The 50th anniversary boxset will have it all.
I pre-ordered this because Destroyer was my first record I bought, plus all the cool replica stuff that's included in this box set, and the cd's (music) of course... I have a feeling this box set will sell out fast!
I've pre ordered the Super Deluxe box set. Don't sit on the fence.... This will sell out.
Will be reissued.
I’ve preordered the deluxe set and colored vinyl. Like you, I’d have preferred that the vinyl was part of the set. In a sense, it is part of the set... just purchased separately and stored next to instead of inside the set. I’m very happy with all that’s included and was happy with the pricing. I know other sets include more for a similar price but I’m used to high prices on Kiss stuff and often have to refrain. Also looking forward to hearing if the half-speed mastering on the vinyl makes a sound quality difference. Thanks for the preview. Fun to hear other Kiss fans talking this stuff over.
Thanks! We thought there weren’t enough of these conversations so we decided to join in.
It says replica for Destroyer tour book . The original was 11+17 ? Should be exactly the same right ? replica is replica just not original right ? 🤞
It may be. They do not give the dimensions of the box, but there is an 11x17 poster on the bridge shot and many items in the photo are that size or larger.
@@chuckmoore1618 🤞
I’m guessing it will be smaller than the original. It depends on the size of the box which is probably the size of a record (not the thickness) based on how the cds fit. I’d love to be wrong, though. I’d like the tour book to be as close to original size as possible.
I wish KISS would have taken Exciter and took that solo in the song and turned it into a massive solo/jam when played live. KISS dropped the ball on so many songs. The song Take me had a cool jam in the middle and could have been turned into a great instrumental piece. I was happy to see them take Lick It Up and use the Won't Get Fooled Again intro as part of the live version. KISS is a whole lot better than they want to be.
Actually I was groovin' to "I'm Alive" today at the mall.
Winger is very underrated! Kip came to a small club near me in Poughkeepsie. I should have gone to see him! I love the PULL album.
Next time he comes through you need to catch him. I almost think we were lucky he was solo as he took some time to tell some stories and joke around with the crowd.
Vinyl Vagrants That’s awesome!!!
Great video guys! Welcome! I’m a huge KISS fan myself. Favorite albums include the Debut, Love Gun, Dynasty, and Unmasked! Looking forward to watching more videos!
Really great review. Well thought out and presented
Really enjoyed this! All the best, Richard
Thank you!! We are due for more soon.
Wow! I remember that big print/poster behind you selling on Kissonline for a LOT of money 10 years ago or so, must be awesome to own!
Great channel, surprised when I saw Gene Simmons give an opening to your channel! I bet he charged you!
Yo don't be so ashamed and waanting to be so politically correct.... Rock and roll is not that way nor should it be.. Keep up the great Kiss reviews... !!
You guys are awesome!
Like Jeff Speeker, I found this video first, so now I can search out the older ones. Thanks, Chris
Coincidentally, I stumbled across this video and is my introduction to your channel. Looking forward to seeing more. Cheers, Jeff
Great review!! Cool, calm and collected, very listenable. Regards from Sweden.
I got turned on to KISS when my mom failed to decline the Columbia House record of the month, which was Destroyer, and at 55 I still have that original LP. I've since seen them a few times, actually took my daughter when she was in the 6th grade to see KISS three hours away on a school night. She recently returned the favor by getting excellent seats for us to see the End Of The Road tour here in Memphis. Great band, great memories, great kid....
Happy Birthday My First and Favorite Album got me into KISS
Welcome guys!
Enjoyed the video. I must confess I only have one KISS album.
KISS isn't for everybody..... but it's who opened the door for us.
