North Florida to Key West
Переглядів 3844 місяці тому
Starting our ride just north of St. Augustine and going to Key West, each day brought new challenges and rewards. The heat was always there, but we are now seasoned temporary Floridians :) As always, towards the end of the ride we are tired and thinking about home, but the last day always leaves us with a sense of "we did it!" and already planning the next ride.
Elfin Lakes Hike
Переглядів 2004 місяці тому
Today we hike up to Elfin Lakes just north of Vancouver, B.C. and it was one of the most amazing hikes we've ever done! It took about 3 1/2 hours up and 3 hours down and was 22K round trip. A;ong the way we saw lots of wildlife, including bears that were feeding on the plentiful blueberries. The lakes themselves are cold, but well worth the plunge. Make sure you bring lot's of water or at least...
Atlanta to North Florida
Переглядів 3394 місяці тому
We got off the a rough start by even just getting us and our bikes tom Atlanta. But the next day, we just focussed on the joy of getting back on the road again. It took a couple of days to get in synch with the heat of 95 degrees and 100% humidity, but as long as we started early and finished early it was definately doable.

Sabaudia

Sabaudia is a coastal town in central Italy and has a 15km beach surrounded by mountains. The beach front is populated by beach bars about every kilometer, so you never run out of Aperol Spritz's. Ancient Roman ruins are built into the high bluffs above the main town.

Cool video. Thanks for sharing
Thank-you
Awesome thanks so much
Awesome video! Being in our mid to late sixties we just finished a seven week tandem tour Zurich, Switzerland to Venice, Italy through eight countries in October. Planning is key and being prepared for weather and bike issues. Keeping the day's distances moderate to enjoy the places and views along the way! For us motivating each other when things get tough. Already planning our England and Scotland Lands End tour for 2025. Keep it going as long as you can and travel with people who love the journey to or solo if that's more your speed. ❤
Neil, the production value of your videos is UNBELIEVABLE. Like Hollywood level! Fantastic job here. Cheers.
Thanks for that, working on something a little differnt from Hawaii
Well done and commented. Honesty and joy I could sense! It seems you have been around Vancouver, BC - Canada, or is it just so similar to where you have been? Keep going. Cheers
Inspiring! Happy trails!
Thanks!
Well said. Have fun.
Thanks
Alla Fine siamo a Trrracina🤔🤔🤔🤔
Le riprese col drone sono le più interessanti❤🌞🌞🌞🌞👋👋🌈🌈
Incredible video
dude! awesome composition on the video! im sorry to hear about the sepsis... i actually circulate and scrub those cases... I'm glad you recovered from it... and you have it figured out with constantly moving, that's the way to get into the zone/ flow
Thank you and good on you for your work in the medical field, not enough kudos for the hard work you do
what an inspiring video thank you for posting sir !
462 subscribers but looks like 462,000. Such is the quality of your cinematography, editing, and sound design. Storytelling at its best. A wonderful experience, thanks!
Thank you for the kind words
I’m in my 20’s, passionate about biking, trying to figure out life, and obsessed with the idea to travel around the world on my bike. I find it really inspiring seeing you do this and draw a lot of inspiration, joy, and motivation from this. Very good video I love it.
Short, but good one! Great camera work and interesting narration, thank you, Neil!
Excellent Video 🚴♂️😎🎥 No sooner do I get off the bike.. I’m thinking about my next ride or Adventure.. 👍
Super kudos, Sir !!
Look at going to the Netherlands on a “Bike & Barge” holiday. Amsterdam to Bruges is fantastic…………A lot of Canadians and Americans have experienced cycling in the Netherlands………Cycling heaven!!!!
Or the Ronde van Nederland bike route.
Props for the smazint shots... May seem easy, but many of the fistance shots do take time and proper staging.
Amazing. 61. Four surgeries in my right knee. Bike fanatic in Bogotá - Colombia. Your testimony motivates more to get started in bike packing.
@@rafaelperezfranco1497 Do it!
This is art.
Thank-you
Beautiful work, mate! You have put in the work to learn how to craft a good film and tell a good story - thank you for that! Your message is strong and clear - and I wish you many more kms ahead - with the wind at your back!! My first ride was the Cabot Trail when I was 22 in 1988 - then not again until I retired in 2022 and cycled across Canada with my partner and another couple!!! The bug lay dormant, it is now viral!! Good to know people of our vintage are realizing, sharing and inspiring others with their dreams - thank you for sharing yours … no telling how many people you got off the couch!! Well done!
Thanks for the kind words. Good luck in any future endeavors!
Inspirational and so well filmed. I’ll look forward to more videos. Keep safe and upright. Enjoy your travels.
Thank you!
I thought this was a movie 🎬
Wonderful videos of your adventures. Keep it up 👍 As one rider looking out for another, please take the time to adjust your helmet straps correctly before your next outing. Right temple strap is floppy, left cheek buckle is open. The intersection point of the straps should be just under your ear lobe with minimal slack to each of the four straps from the lid. Left the way it is, there's a big chance it won't protect your brain when you need it the most. Happy trails!
Bravo 👏👏👏Awesome video, awesome person!
The obstacle is the way . . . Hats off to you guys! Amazing! Ride on!
@@julianconfesor4385 👍 already planning
This is a spectacular and inspiring video! I'm so glad you were able to overcome that injury and enjoy bicycling again!
Gracias por tal MARAVILLOSA pieza de arte. Lo usaré para mi clase de Inglés. Big hug from El Salvador. The most secure country in América 😃
Thank you for the kind words
Exquisite.
Nice. I love bike touring.
Nice film
Great video breathtaking scenery but we’re are the hills do you have trouble with snakes and spiders when camping keep the videos coming from a cold and and wet uk
In the Florida ride the NoSeeUm's were brutal, constanly biting you everywhere. Had to go to a Pharmacy to get something that calmed down the inflamation. No spiders though, just alligators :)
You should check out the trails in Montreal. Very bike friendly.
Stunning video! Love the passion and thought that was put into this
Fellow Vancouverites (seniors) who love bike touring. We’ve done 4 self-supported tours in France, each of about 1800 km. We are addicted! When we are in Vancouver we ride as often as possible but it’s not quite the same as riding for 70Km every day through the French countryside. We LOVED your video and look forward to more from you. Excellent videography!
Nice, I'm waffling between my next ride being Australia's East Coast and Paris to Berlin where my son lives. I agree, while local riding is awesome, you can't beat being onn an unfamiliar road.
Well done sir!
Interesting video and nice to see but Wow what fantastic video production!
Thank-you. so much!
This is a beautiful video. I enjoyed the different scenes and visual beauty. I envy you being in Vancouver. A few months ago, my buddies and I spent four days riding in the area and thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish Amtrak were more reliable, as that's an easy way to get there.
Glad I found your channel. I have had both of my hips replaced and I'm still trying to find the right saddle to use. What caught my attention about your video is it looks like you use one of the Brooks leather saddles. If so, did you settle on that one right away or did it take riding a few different ones before you made your choice?
Thank you for a great video. Wishing you many great journeys. Loved that intro.
Thank-You
wonderful video thanx ! Respect !
Thank-You
Awesome video Neil!! Keep it up!!
Thank-you and I will :)
That was a great watch! New subscriber for more.....
Awesome short. Glad that I clicked in.
Thank-you, stay tuned
Wonderful cinematography. As a fellow Canadian, I want to get into bike touring. Any suggestion for resources for starters. I've only ever done organized week long bike touring where the company takes your luggage to the next hotel and they provide an app that maps out your route in real time.
Thank-You. Yes start at www.adventurecycling.org/ and I would subscribe and get their hard-copy magazine it's really full of great articles amd maps of most of the North American touring routes.
Jump on a plane to SEA, hoping to be there, once the floods recede.
Do you have your route somewhere, like ridewithgps or komoot?
Yep, it's in 3 sections: ridewithgps.com/routes/45727574 ridewithgps.com/routes/45762304 ridewithgps.com/routes/45762362
Nice video and trip. Thanks for sharing. I do have to ask, at 5:23 what person/creature is that on the left, in front of the tree? Appears to be some kind of hooded figure.
Sasquatch :)
Really nice video, audio fx, music, shots and story behind it. Respect and keep pedaling! ✊
Thank-you for the comments
WoW excellent video!!!! Powerful! Gonna keep the drive alive in me …. I’ve only done 2 long tours, 1200 & 1800 miles, but really want to do more, while I’m still young enough (72). Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank-you and just get out there and do it. You will meet some really great people.
