these are cool.
When i drink sloe gin. I love to drink Heyman's Sloe Gin and Orange Juice or Sometimes I will drink Heyman's Sloe Gin and Grapefruit juice. I love Heyman's Sloe Gin and Grapefruit juice a little bit more better than the Orange Juice tho
Genuinely one of my favorite gins for a gin and tonic, but outside of that a regular london dry like beefeater is probably better for more flavorful drinks. Extremely delicate.
Hey great reviews I would love to collaborate with you down under meets the states in a shared review? Keep on doing what you do!! Great reviews
Agree, tonic overpowers. I use club soda/fizzy water in place of the tonic.
Which is better Roku or bulldog or Hendrick
bang for a buck, roku.
You said youve never had, Irish gin before, Ha'penny is literally behind you on your shelf. lol, Nice collection. What do you think of Martin millars? Its one of my favs, But if you havent tried G'vine Florrison GET IT ASAP, it is distilled with grape vines and it has the most unique aroma and flavour, in the best way possible. Also Bulldog gin i think is amazing, it has poppy seed and Dragon eyre, they another unusual but gorgous gin.
We tried this, recently, and we loved it.
We tried it aswell, recently, loved it, gave it a B!!

Hi, compare this to Roku Gin, which is better to buy? Currently, they are both discounted in the supermarket so I don't know which one to buy. Thank you
Worth noting that not just Canadian, but Ungava is a northern peninsula of Quebec, closer to Greenland than Montreal. The writing on it is in Inuit btw, a Native language family (and tribe) with their own alphabet (the triangle things).
Absolutely love this Gin, still got an unopened bottle sitting on the shelf and keeping it there for a special occasion since it's just so hard to find nowdays due to the limited production of it. Wish that it was a limited edition since it really is amazing. Great review!
In the Netherlands we would usualy drink it with a glass of beer. The jenever is normaly served in a tulip glass, so it looks like a woman standing next to a man. Great review!
If you like Roku, you'll probably love Zeiver gin! Super smooth 🍸
Currently reading, "The Club Dumas", a novel where the main character is a Gin drinker, Bol's being his brand of choice. Got me interested and i found my way here. Thanks for the review!
In the Earthenware container... Great book. Hideous movie.
Being not Juniper fwd, would another tonic be better, ie Fever Tree Aromatic or Elderflower. I think you went Mediterranean.
Thanks Rosie. Lust is our very popular and lemony gin with an abundance of lemon myrtle. Woopee we got on your Best Gin of the Year list.
Thank you for this lovely review and for supporting our distillery. Yes, it's definitely best with a dry tonic; we use Capi Dry.
Hi - are you able to put the microphone closer as it is hard to hear you. I watch and listen on my phone do can not turn it up any further and end up turning off.
Love a sloe gin :D Hayman's do a great gin but again doubt it would be available where you are.
I have a feeling it might be... will have to double check.
Okay I want that so hard....
If I'm ever allowed to come back to the UK I'll bring you a bottle!
That’s my Dads gin garden grown 😅😅👉👈
That's so cool!!!
@@alightweightreviews9293 Thx
Great video 🙌🏻
Thank you!
👍
I love Affinity Gin!!!! Try it with Capi Dry 👌
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a go!
these seems like it will be right up my alley. I love peppery gins :)
Yep, sounds like these are the perfect gins for you!
this gin sounded absolutely amazing.
The whole range has been incredible so far, they really know what they're doing
How does the 36S compare to other blood orange gins?
This is actually the first Blood Orange gin I've had, but I have the new Prohibition Blood Orange sitting on my shelf, there will be a review of that soon!
I really wanted to try this! (purely for the Ryan Reynolds factor! But I'm allergic to lavender, and I hate aniseed & coriander! Thank you for reviewing this so I don't waste money on something I won't like!
Coriander is a pretty common gin ingredient, it usually doesn't come through incredibly strongly, it just tones down the juniper a bit. But yeah, would avoid with a lavender allergy!
This seems like an awesome tasting pack. This gin sounds amazing too😀
It's fantastic, definitely recommend getting the set!
Is that feels any juniperbarries atleast a little character
Yep, definitely a characterful gin!
@@alightweightreviews9293 i tried it today yeah its awesome 60% characters are balanced to scotch smokies like that and rest are botanicals love it🧡❤️ but cant get high with that am suer if i do that ill get huge hangover 🙂😉
great review, bought this and haku vodka, can’t wait to try!
Let me know what you think!
Sounds great. Where is the distillery located?
Wolf Lane is up in Cairns, Cedar Fox is a Melbourne based one
How would you compare the never never to something like MGC or 4 pillars?
I'd say 4 Pillars is a lot more native than the Never Never. 4 Pillars hits you in the face with Australianess, the Never Never is a bit less focused on that. It's a little brighter than the MGC, with a little more focus on Juniper than the standard. However, if we're comparing the Never Never to MGC Single Shot... I reckon Single Shot wins it for juniperyness.
@@alightweightreviews9293 oooh never tried the single shot, might try it if i find it cheaper. i love 4 pillars but its pretty expensive , i want to explore some more australian gins and ive seen that never never has won some awards, but they're all so expensive so thats why i make my own hahaha
@@nickl6162 Yeah, gin prices are eyewatering! I justify it by remembering that I'm stimulating the local economy :P
@@alightweightreviews9293 absolutley hahaha
Sounds like a great gin! I really liked Beefeater 24when I tried it and I account this to the inclusion of Sencha, though after I compared it with the standard Beefeater I could't quite pick them apart so I stopped going for the 24. Looking forward to checking out Roku due to the inclusion of Sencha and Gyokuru in the botanicals, both wonderfully vegetal green teas.
Roku is something special, let me know what you think of it after you try it!
@@alightweightreviews9293 Got it the other day: definitely a nice gin, can have it almost neat. The botanicals local to Japan make for a lighter mouthfeel with a lot lingering in the background. I tried it with a variation of Jeffrey Morganthaller's natural lime cordial, I just swap out the hot water with green tea made from Sencha and way less sugar: jeffreymorgenthaler.com/lime-cordial/
Still on the fence about Aviation. As an American myself, it's odd because I'm more of a fan of the London Dry's and the like. I'll have to give Aviation a few more chances with different cocktails. For American styled gins, I would also recommend St. George Terroir, which literally tastes like pine due to the inclusion of Douglas fir needles in the botanicals, as well as Bully Boy Estate Gin which is neat because its made with a base of grain and apples, giving it a really nice taste.
I do think Aviation has been massively helped by the amazing Ryan Reynolds ads. Which I'm not mad about, I adore them. Ooo, the Holcombe Barfold was very piney and I like that, so interested in trying the St George. I can get that here, but don't think I'll be able to access Bully Boy. I really want to do a series looking at a gin from each US state, but so few are available in Aus!
Sounds like a nice gin. Been meaning to pick up a bottle of the standard Boodles for a short while now, but haven't got around to it. Always a bit skeptical around liqueurs, but I'll have to see if I can track this fellow down.
I enjoy liqueurs if I'm looking for something a little sweeter and fruity, I think you need to be in the mood for them. I need to get the standard Boodles at some point!
Got a bottle of this not too long ago and had the same thoughts pre-tonic. The flavor certainly cuts through any mixer you put to it, as I've also done a gimlet with it. Something i can say however is that it grows on you after a few tastings.
I need to give it another go, I've been passing it over for my other gins. I think I might try it with some other tonics and see what I think.
We will make a whisky drinker of you yet😁. You will have to try the barrel aged gin from Karu and Craft works distillery. They had collaborated with each other and made a fantastic gin. I have also reviewed it if you want to check it out. I can also send you a sample if you would like to try it👍
Haha, good luck with that! But would be very interested in giving it a go if you're able to send that down.
No problem👍
Another great review, I will have to keep an eye open for this one. From my end the sound was fine, not to echoey. You also seem to be more confident with your review this time👍. Keep it up😁
Thanks! I'm not sure if it will be available in stores yet (not that I'm allowed into stores anymore) but definitely worth grabbing if you do see it.
Loving this new set up! I really like that bottle, super clean :)
Thanks! I'm loving having a gin wall, it's very satisfying to look at :)
Another good review. I will have to keep my eye open for the new edition😁
If you sign up for their mailing list you'll be the first to hear about it!
I have never seen a gin this colour before.
Yeah, it's not really an appealing colour, but it's a delicious gin!
Subscribed
Thank you!!!
This sounds like a very interesting gin. Where is the distillery located?
It's in Heathcote, up towards Bendigo
After all of these gins, whats your favourite gin you have had so far?
My favourite gin is the Four Pillars and Herno Dry Island collaboration, it was my first review! Sadly a limited edition so once I finish my bottles it's all gone. Of the other gins I've reviewed for videos I'd probably say the Lark Forty Spotted Citrus or Applewood Australian. Non reviewed favourites are definitely Martin Millers and Anther!
Another great Aussie gin review😁. I have been curious about Applewood for some time now. Thanks, I've just requested to join!
For Elderflower - Warner Edwards is my top pick.
Damn, not available in Australia. I'll put it on the list to get next time I'm in the UK!
Love a colour-changing gin!
I tried the McHenry's colour changing gin recently, really liked that one. And planning on giving the Ink Gin a try soon!
