Don't know if I should actually make this comment, but I'm going to. Started looking, casually, for a loop boat. Saw a video tour of Sol Mate, so I guess you've finished the loop. Always like how everyone's videos come out at different times, so I have something to watch before the next season of loopers start their videos. Also saw Andromeda, in Lake Michigan on another loop channel and a couple of others that are still "on the loop". Thanks for sharing your adventure
Subscribed and have notifications turned on. Guess I just missed this one, but don't know how.
First, enjoyed the video. It's always interesting to me watching several people's videos on the loop as to where they are on the posting of their videos. I know it's a lot of work to put them out, so don't take that as a complaint. I appreciate your efforts. I was watching Jeff and Sarah on Drift Away and they were going into Ludington and passed Andromeda. Wait, they're in the Bahamas still!!! Also, saw your boat and don't remember exactly where you were at the time, but it was on a Cools Beans, Drifting and Dreaming or Drift Away video. Thought I know that boat. Thanks again for the great videos
Thanks for watching and the comments. Yes, very hard to post videos real-time. I give Cool Beans (Chris and Lisa) a lot of credit for posting their videos in almost real time. They are a great couple and we have enjoyed spending time with them and many other loopers.
This landlubber would not have any canned goods in an overhead .
FYI - inside of swansboro is where the Marines train for urban combat . There used to be a statue of Elvis Presley downtown that marines would hide from snipers !
that's some great trivia I bet very few people know.
@ it’s not a state secret. Been in all the newspapers . In 1977 the bridge between Swansboro & the back gate of Camp Lejeune was targeted for a terrorist attack by anti-Israeli Hezbolla terrorists in 1976 or 77 . Not sure which . I found out as I was driving thru it on the way to my annual rifle qualification at the USMC rifle range at 3.oo a.m. Needless to say nothing came of the empty threat , lol !
Should have dropped a line in the water if you fish. Late 70's dad went out from Lewes. Got into Sea Trout about 20 ft down and Blues on top. Filled every cooler on boat in about 45 minutes (5 guys fishing). Trout suffered a little bit coming up through the blue fish. Not to nitpick, but it's pronounced Lou's. I know I would butcher most of the names out there
thanks for letting us know.... I'm sure we butcher a lot of names.
Your nope rope looks like a water moccasin/ cottonmouth.
glad we didn't know this when we saw it.... yikes!
Why did it take me so long to figure out the TJ part of the name. But it should be JT. Ladies 1st
You know, we’re not sure why we picked TJ instead of JT. Probably because we liked to sound of it better. Lol
I was on the ferry from Lewes to CM and a guy who seemed to have priority for loading his car and I chatted and he told me they kept the boat in Cape May but lived in Delaware. First person I met who took a ferry boat to his boat. Video was good
thanks
The Dismal Canal is the oldest canal in America that is still is use. And, Great Bridge is the location of the first battle in the Revolutionary War WON by the US. Lots of history in the area. Well done!
Thanks for watching. T&J
Thanks fo for the air show!
Happy to hear you enjoyed the air show and thanks for watching.
This was a perfect Sunday afternoon video, I really enjoyed it.
Awesome, thank you!
Love the videos. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Thank you for watching. We are having a great time.
Hi, from Mrs J and Dave, hope you are having as much fun as it looks like!
Hi, yes we are having a blast!
We love Lady's Island Marina, great people.
Yes, the marina and staff were great.
Great job exploring the island. I docked there once overnight but didn't do any exploring.
We had a great time exploring the island. Thanks for watching.
change the music to something more soothing
Lower the volume of your music please.
Can't wait to see all your Docktails....
thanks for watching
Learn how to use a mic.......................
Bob, thanks for providing the feedback. we are working to improve the audio. We understand our channel may not be up to your expectations and you will not want to follow us or watch our videos.
Would love to see your complete solar set up!
If there is anything specific you wan to see, let me know. Our system has 2 BougeRV 200 watt panels mounted on the railing of our Flybridge and the panels are wired in series. I have a 15amp in-line fuse at the panels, go into a solar disconnect box and then the wires run to a Victron 100/30 MPPT controller (mounted near the house battery bank), through a 40 amp breaker and then to my house battery bank.
I cant wait to watch your videos!!!
Thanks for watching.
I just found your channel and wondering if you decided not to complete the Loop.
Thanks for watching. We stopped for the winter but we will be back on the move in about 2 weeks.
Why aren’t you displaying your AGLCA burgie?
We didn't have our burgee at the time we travelled from FL to SC. We have it now and it will be displayed going forward.
@@TJDocktails Thanks for. Clearing that up for me. I am really enjoying your posts. They are very refreshing, especially your comments about thin gs to see along the way.
Glad I found your site. Enjoy your Loop. When you get to Annapolis let me know if you need any transportation to reprovision. I do this for a lot of Loopers
Thanks for the offer Paul. We hope to explore many areas in the Chesapeake including Annapolis.
Falls are simply unreal, breathtaking scenery my friend!
Thank you, it is a magical place and the video does not do it justice.
are you guys back in Mesa? We are a retired couple in Mesa curious about the "loop". Can I ask where you found insurance and what it costs? did you jhave a lot of boating experience before ?
Hi Mike. We are back in Mesa and would be happy to meet up somewhere. We have about 10 years of sailing experience and ASA certification but no ownership (we chartered). We were able to get insurance through Jack Marin and Assoc. (contact Jon Horton) but there were limitations on age, value and size.
Thanks for reply back. Im in east Mesa near Signal Butte and Southern. Retired and usually free most anytime mike. @@TJDocktails
We are off McDowell in north Mesa and would be happy to meet up for coffee or a beer sometime in next couple of weeks near your place.
Congratulations. I’ve enjoyed the first two videos and look forward to watching your journey. As an experienced captain and retired Coast Guard officer, it’s great that you’ll be paying attention to the WX forecast. Always remember the weather and environmentals will only allow you to do what they want you to. Enjoy and safe journeys.
We learn something new each day on the boat. Thanks for watching. T&J
We had the same dream and have found our loop boat as well, going start in 1000 Islands next summer.
Congratulations on finding your loop boat! We plan on being in 1000 islands as well summer of '24.
