Except for both having magic damage, their kit is totally different how can you say it was inspired? Do you even play katarina? Do you even play lol? If there's a champ where Karina is based off it is Garen. Garen 1st and 2nd is basic attack buff, movement speed boost and physical def buff that is basically Karina's 1st skill. Garen's 3rd and karina's 2nd are both aoe, though garen need to stay much longer in enemy's space to deal damage. Both ultimate is just dash and single target execute.
