Electronic Anaesthetic Machine check

With advancing technology and new anaesthetic machines, many of the checks are electronic and self-checking. However, there are still certain things that should be checked manually and this video will guide you through to ensure nothing is missed.
Anaesthetic machine check real time (bain circuit)

Real time machine check
IF you've checked the soda lime , looked at the flows and fiters , changed the circuitry and bags and you still find a leak , have another look at rhe soda lime canisters seal because sometimes tiny grains find there way underneath it and get overlooked as it looks absolutely fine from the outside. This happened to me after exhausting all ideas. The medical physics fellow(God) found the problem and said it was common on some designs of the refilable canisters. So watch out for the hidden cat shit grit under the seal giving you unacceptable amounts of circuit leakage... ( a "skilled" assistant)
So good ❤🎉
This is so useful thanks for taking the time to.make it.
Sorry The background humming makes difficult to get the voice for non english language like me.
the fuck am i doing here?
dont forgot backup cylinders and BVM as they would be needed for backup. In case pipeline supply issues or anaesthetic machine issues during induction or maintaince of anaesthesia.
You also have a basal flow rate of O2 on these machines which could potentially mask a small leak. Disconnections the O2 or turning the machine off would stop the basal flow rate.
Thank you so much!!
Omg thank you, finally I get it now
You can see the bellows not fully rising though (once the rubber seal removed), isn't that how you can see there is a leak?
Very good, thank you
The quality of the video is not that good, but the content of your video is awesome! Thank you for this. ❤
There is a leak. I could see the bellows getting lower even from my screen. If you run the bellows test for a few more minutes you will see the bellows rise less and less. The size of the leak is proportionate to what you are causing it with. A missing gasket isnt going to leak as much as say an open bellows case or hole in your circuit. The current test is valid.
That's a very creative yet simple way of explaining these check tests , I totally understand them better than I ever did . It would be great if u could do a video explaining the most common breathing circuits used in the o.t .
just one thing you forgot to mention to set the oxygen at 21% but this was an excellent video
You should make a video. I can't wait to see that turd of a video!
Calm down. I was only providing a suggestion.
AAGBI says only need to be checking hypoxic guard weekly. He ticked all the boxes
This the best anaesthetic machine check so far
Useful and simply explained
