The same unit is produced one or two companies and marketed under dozens of company names all over the world.
You're right on this. Kinda make you think to buy a gas log splitter
Please learn how to use this. Needs to be filled way more than this. You'll wear the transmission using it like this.
I think that is what with our log splitter too.
More water please
So if no replacement seals are available, I should look at different splitter that has parts available for it. That's why I do research on a product before I make the mistake of buying it.
I couldn’t find replacement seals, then I went to a cylinder rebuild shop. He matched up what I had and had exact replacements in my hand within 10 minutes.
What’s you do to get it to agitate??
Love that I need to be blessed and come across one for sale
Bought one used for $100 had no oil in it. Put 3.5 quarts of atf in it works great. Not as powerful or fast as maul. Good tool for the weak though. Let the kid use it to make firewood while I tend to more important stuff
"very dangerous spring inside" - 4:04 skips the entire take apart process
Very generous of you! Many thanks.
You said not to adjust the factory preset pressure relief valve, but you are adjusting it?
Said not to adjust it to make it stronger, his reasoning to do so was to make it weaker due to the type of gasket he made.
Thank you..I have a bad pressure seal also and would you have the file for the 3d printer?
Thankyou. So.... what's the 3d print material that you make the gasket/seals out of please?
He said ABS. Though would probably be better with TPU.
Missed out all the important stuff like what order to undo the nuts and bolts and withdrawing the piston rod.
Пожалуйста напишите размер кольца порошня.который вы заменили. И из чего он сделан...
Under a few nuts and a lot of talking
Any idea how to get to the seal on the other end?
I have oil leaking into the electric box through the hole for the cable going to the capacitor. Is it possible to pinpoint the fault just from this information?
Hi James I am experiencing the same issue with my log splitter, do you by chance have the .stl file for the seal?! Thank you for this demonstration I'm confident as mentioned mine is experiencing the same issue
Я думаю, что это кольцо будет пропускать масло. Из-за чего прибор будет иметь меньшую силу.
Interesting. I have the same machine but I bought it secondhand so I didn't know how it performed when new. As mine is only rated at 2 tonnes I thought it was only capable of splitting thin logs. On mine there is a label for ISC GmbH so perhaps they can supply spare parts? I would like to change the oil but don't know what sort to use or how to refill it.
Man o man I’m glad this dude ain’t my neighborhood mechanic omg!!!
Need that seal too sir. Good work
Nice plow
Mine is leaking hydraulic fluid heavy. I may need that ring also.
Incomplete, disassembly,and assembly, your good
Why did you use the blocks of wood? Wouldn't it be better for the ram to be fully returned with no tension on it for disassembly? Edit, sorry I see now. You needed the ram to be pulled away from the one end. Makes sense now.
You most nore drinking .
Hello. Mine goes forward ok but it’s slow to return. It sounds like there’s fluid being forced through something. Could this be my issue?
Mine sometimes doesn't return and I have to push it by hand. When going forward it is faster than the repaired machine in the video but perhaps that was due to the adjustment he mentioned?
I think this is the exact issue with my log splitter as well :) Need to try this out, and lucky I have a 3D printer as well :)
Hello. Do you have the stl file can you share with us?
Very good James. Can you give me some tips? I have a leak from the part where it is glued togther (time 7.16). After using my splitter, it will, with in 1 month, leek about 3 - 5 ml and it continio to leek 1 - 2 ml a month. not using the splitter. Do you have any suggestions for me:-) Thank you:-)
Great job sir
Love the old wringer washers can’t wait to finish the restoration on mine
What was the end result of your endeavours? I would assume that changing the turbo would still not fix the poor compression on one of the cylinders...
Sold the car, but it was the turbo causing all the issues. not a hard fix once we learned about Saab's.
Them's good fer diapers.
Or maybe a diesel gas mix by accident???
It's your turbo you have to drop the oil pan and the turbo you have to order a new turbo core from garret it's about 100 bucks the coolant is from your oil and coolant cooled turbo it has blown a water seal any way you drop the turbo drop the oil pan clean the oil pick up sump screan at the bottom of the pan clean with gas reinstall with a quarter inch bead of blue RTV then reinstall your oil pan put in new core for your turbo reinstall then dry fire it for 15 seconds to charge the system then let it fire up also to get the oil pan off you will need to loosen the back motor mount and drops the two front motor mounts then raise the engine as high as it will go and that will allow u to drop the pan good luck I've done this numorus times I have two 2001 Saab 9-3 hatch backs 2.0 turbo s that I work on every day good luck to you and have a nice day
I know this is late for posting, but was it your turbo? Did you figure out what the problem is/was
Well when it turned out to be after all of these videos was just the turbo had failed and it filled the intercooler and everything with oil fix the car up drives beautiful
Headgasket involved water coolant consumption?
Next time try to turn down the music so we can hear it better !
It was only part of the problem. What happens to most Saab’s that smoke like this is the turbo is shot, but the root cause is that the engine was neglected ether the wrong type of oil was used or never changed. If you own one of these 2.0 or 2.3 HOT (high output turbo) motors and it starts smoking get your tool belt on and check under the valve cover for a sledged motor. Saab sledge easy because of the high heat caused by the turbo and the convertor setting right next to the oil pan and then someone puts in the wrong oil. So, here is the results, motor sledges lack of oil to turbo, turbo fails, turbo bearing leaks oil (lots of it) into the head, head gasket blows now coolant and oil really smoke! Everything’s still fixable so far. But, if it spins the lower mains (you now have a ticking motor) because of lack of oil it’s time to go shopping for a new engine $2500 - $2800. Or sell the car for $500 to someone like me who loves Saabs. I now have 2 of them both had the same problem.
did repairing the turbo actually solve the white smoke issue?
Camshaft bearings/ gaskets
did you catch any?
