I actually really don't like his character arc. They made him too mean and then come back too nice too fast. I just felt really rushed. They really could have done something where the power went his head and he was lured away and realized his mistake versus just being super toxic mean and evil on purpose because that's who he was at his core. Instead of a good man making a mistake, They made him actually bad person and we just realized he was bad all along.

This show is so stupid. Anyone who has ever been around football players would know that Nate would be eaten alive and completely disrespected within minutes. The more I watch Ted Lasso the more I realise how it’s just fantasy written by people who don’t follow football at all. So much potential to mine from the football world for comedy and they pump out dross. Footballers wives was more realistic.

See, everyone claims this scene as showing that Nate is an A hole, but to me this isn't Nate showing his true colors. This is someone so overwhelmed with emotions and success that they're just saying the wrong thing without realizing it. Nate isn't thinking with his head, he's thinking with his heart which isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, there's a time and place for it. Nates downfall was necessary, it made him think about how he's gonna balance his brain with his heart. Hopefully his character gets to grow more and become an even better coach because of it. I'm optimistic for the direction his character can go in the next season

The reason Ted stopped paying as much attention to him is because he didn't need it anymore. Nate had found the confidence and ability to be independent. It's not Ted's fault that he took it as a sign he didn't care anymore. I think Nate just needed to grow up a little .
