If the macaw is a hen, I hope that it is not a laying distress - the bird would then have great difficulty laying an egg and could die as a result. Otherwise, this behavior is very atypical and I would recommend paying close attention to whether the bird drinks and eats regularly. I hope it will get better and wish you all the best! Birds are very bad patients, so there is little you can do except wait and see.

I'm no expert, but it seems like the cockatoo is trying to be the boss? Absolutely gorgeous colours on the parrot. The fact they are out together without feathers flying might be a good sign. If not, it's good to see that every bird has their bolt hole to go to.

Cockatiels and Macaws can be a brutal battle, but I see you have lots of birds, so I'm sure you're aware of the potential hazard and are careful with the handling/don't let them out at the same time. So beautiful, though. I'm sure she'll warm up well enough to be safe (or hopefully) around other small birds if they're out and about.
