    To this individual/group please do not twist or add to traditional Diné ceremonies. To those who don't know or are not familiar with Diné Ceremonies the Diné Buffalo Dance is only done in winter during the Mountain Top chant ceremonies. It is one of many sacred dances done to heal a patient and to bring moisture for the coming planting season/spring vegetation. So sad to see all the negativity wen it comes to tribes dissN one another and not trying to learn the great history we all once shared.

    This isn't apart of the fire dance. It's not even close. I respect the Pueblo people and this fat joker is full of shit. We have specific guide lines to follow given to us by our holy ones. Of which is to not incorporate or invoke other tribes gods or dances. As well as make up ceremonies its a taboo to do so. it's believed that illness will follow anyone who ever breaks that sacred guideline.

    I'm Hopi. Extremely close neighbor to the Navajo, and I'm sick and tired of seeing "Navajos" steal, mock, and claim what is not their's. The word "Navajo" is a Tewa word meaning: scavenger, nomad, a people who have no name." Research all native tribes and you will see they are all close knitted communities. Not them (Navajo); they are spread out all over the Western United States.

    • @codygeewin5166

      Malcolm Puhuhefvaya . I get that this particular Navajo Group 'Pollen trail" has lost its way. but not all Navajo dance groups do this kind of activity. Other Navajo dance groups keep their dances and songs true to their Traditional ways. What I don't get is how hypicritical you Hopis are about this group doing a Buffalo dance. while at the same time you Hopis do a Comanche Dance a Apache Dance and a Navajo Dance! whatever that's about? so don't be so quick to mock us Navajos when you Hopis are the ones dressing up like Navajos and singing Navajo songs! If you don't want a group like this doing a Buffalo dance then perhaps you guys should stop doing that "Navajo dance" kuz I'm "sick" of seeing you mocking my people with that Dance!!

      Cody Geewin this goes out to you and the pueblo guy hating. first off I am oke oweengeh and diné and proud of both my cultures and heritage I have learned to love and live both worlds as well as a 3rd world which is this white mans world. you both make certain points but lets not forget. we are still all one people. both traditions mock each other yes but it only becuz that's what you do when you battle. both cultures have fought against each other and won some as well as lost some. but in all honesty you must learn to respect all culture. becuz I know many half breeds such as my self who are pueblo and "Navajo" who would take offence to both your comments. so please watch what you say. cuz I rep both my people and ready to put a mufucka down in they spot. cuz words ain't nun. actions are. #TewaNavajo! #Whats Up??? #KnuckleUp!!!

    • @drizzant23

      Ashkia Trujillo Some radical response. He does have a valid point about Pueblos doing the "Navajo Dance". It is dumb for Pueblos to accuse Navajos of taking their dances when they have Navajo, Supai, and Apache dances that mimics those tribes. Whether you are proud of who you are you obviously can't debate properly. Don't be vindictive about it. Where is your logic? You surely do a disservice to it.

    • @drizzant23
      @drizzant23 6 років тому

      Malcolm Puhuhefvaya Plagiarism? The Pueblo and the Hopi had to have a first cause in what they created. Atleast the Navajo people know how to be dualistic with their culture, modernism, and academia. You Hopi's are stuck in your old outdated and primitive ways. Your religion and culture contradicts historical science. In fact, your culture-obsession needs to evolve with space and time. You are causing a bunch of environmental damage with your killing and exploitation of animals and birds for your kachina and social dances. So much for a peaceful culture. Zunis are just as bad as you. In addition, why don't you help your tribe out by creating a better reality. There is sure alot of ruggie buildings on your reservation.

      @@codygeewin5166 calm down. The hopi dance to honor us we helped them with our yei-bí-cheii ceremony a long time ago and in return we united and they said they'll carry on the tradition to dance in our way to represent and honor us. They aren't mocking nor copying us, if any of you knew better you would know this by listening to your elders and medicine people. Don't act so hard on each other our ancestors united for the better of the people not to conflict and become aggressive. But yes its true this dance is not real we dont practice our ceremonies with a peublo drum. And these pollen trail dancers are recognized amongst our tribe as fake and disrespectful. We don't claim them to be apart of us they lost their way. And the name Navajo came from the zuni's. We call ourselves díné which means the people.
