A moment in time in the South End of Springfield, Massachusetts
This is such a nice memory to have.
Thank you for posting this! I’m a born and raised Springfield boy, and your video shot me back to some of my earliest and fondest memories. Late 1960s Sunday mornings with Dad - feeding the ducks, the frog ponds of Lily Pond Road, the old zoo across from the ballfields, Snowball, the monkey house...happy times. Forest Park is still one of my favorite places on this planet.
Thank you for sharing this video. My family came to Springfield in 1955 and were a big part of Mt .Carmel. I was able to spot my father and grandfather in the crowd and it's the only video I have of them. If you have any more videos of this time, please share.
