I was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, a rare congenital heart defect that affects the structure of the heart, leading to oxygen-poor blood flowing out of the heart and into the rest of the body. This condition can cause symptoms like cyanosis (a bluish tint to the skin), shortness of breath, and developmental delays. In my early years, I also faced slow learning issues and a speech impediment, which made communication and education more challenging. At the age of 15, in 2013, I underwent a valve replacement surgery, a crucial procedure to improve my heart function and overall health. Despite these challenges, I've grown stronger and more resilient.
