I just watched the full 17 minutes of this video (14:54 you're welcome). And yes, this perfectly encapsulates the older minecraft let's plays. I love that you chose an older version of the game, you didn't just apply a resource pack and call it a day. I too like to open up a digital time capsule and play older versions. I wish the best of luck for your channel, wonderful world, and you as a whole. I also liked and subscribed. (don't ever catch me writing an english essay like that ever again lol)

[not going to bother quoting exact wording on lack of updates] How did we get to the point where it's considered normal for a game dev to keep adding things to a game post-release? Remember when games were done when they were released, what you saw was what you got, and there was never any mystery as to whether some new feature was going to sour the game you spent 60 dollars and several hours on? [the 3 deaths] Nintendo is a business. Keeping the servers up hosting all those levels costs money, sport. And when they decide it's a drain? They'll just throw all that community effort in the garbage, because they're legally allowed to, and they know people will just buy their new thing. But the levels you wanted to have to play? Oh, no no no. You're not allowed to have those. They're Nintendo property, and Nintendo says they go in the trash to make way for a new game. This goes for any online service involving user-generated content. The Halo Xbox 360 servers went down at some point. All those player-made maps were lost forever. All those high-effort battlegrounds and racetracks in Halo Reach, gone forever, as if they never existed. This is the nature of a live game. It dies. [that last point] They're not prioritizing any community. Not the Mario Maker community, not the Zelda community. Not any other franchise. They're prioritizing their bottom line, and looking for costs to cut to rake in more money. Like live game servers that have a declining player count because *gasp* surprise of surprises, people find other games to play. Dark Spore, GTA Online, and yes, even WoW eventually, have or will encounter a situation where the game's profit is not favorable compared to the prospect of new games. And so, without further consideration, the game company will pull that game back like the quarter on a string, leaving the players with nothing but their memories and a useless launcher.

I sure hope to the heavens Brothership will be at least the start of the series finally making a comeback. Especially because I've been working on my own Mario & Luigi game. I've been working on the story for my game for a couple months now on my Google Drive, and I plan to make a UA-cam video about it eventually. ...Does anybody want to hear or see my story? Give everyone a random tnt minecart around their base attached to a skulk sensor(prob calibrated) or a string. Then tell everyone about it so they have to go looking for it and if they get blown up they feel stupid. Bonus: keep putting them every once in a while to gaslight your friends into thinking they never got rid of it.

And don't even get me started with the boulder, a maker game with a story mode wich has things you can't use??? What's the point if it's not tied to any story elements like for example toadette in a cage??? Nintendo doesn't care in the slightest and that is made even more clear with the boulder!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Yeah it might be sad that Nintendo doesn’t care about the passionate SMM2 players including myself, but in my opinion, but at the end of the day, Nintendo never designed the game to be competitive and limit pushing, so doing those things is our choice. And secondly, the amount of people passionate about SMM2 is minuscule compared to something like Splatoon or Super Smash Bros. So there’s even less of a reason for Nintendo to care, and no, I’m not trying to defend them or anything, I’m just saying we can’t be that mad at them if they don’t like the fact we are knowingly and willingly taking the game more serious than they wanted us to despite knowing they won’t care.
