German GBGS 36, Gebrigsgeschutz 36, 75mm Mountain Gun
This is our GBGS 36, 75mm Mountain Gun. (DEACTIVATED). Designed 1935-38 and manufactured in 1942 by Rheinmetall, Germany. Aprox 1200 of these were built between 1938 and 1945 for the German Army. This fires a 12.7lb projectile with a range of 10.120 yds at 1650 FPS. It had a rate of fire of 6-8 rounds per minute The gun and carriage weigh 1,650 lbs. Because of this relatively light weight, the gun had a tendency to jump when fired making it necessary to re aim the gun before the next round was fired.

Filmed on location at the Tankland Military Museum in South El Monte, Ca. This truck just needed a bit of tickling to make it run. The carburetor was run/drained out of fuel the last time it had been run. All it needed was a fresh battery, fluids checked, brakes checked and a battery! It is different driving a right hand drive vehicle!

Filmed on location at the Tankland Military Museum in South El Monte, Ca. IIRC, this was in preparation for a loan to the Ronald Regan PL. I had not run in a bit, California gas really messes up a carburetor! This is after a clean out. Runs smooth, smokes a bit, but, for something close to 80 years old, I think it is good! This particular vehicle spent time on the M.A.S.H. TV series.

Filmed on location at the Tankland Military Museum in South El Monte, Ca. This power pack is out of one of the M60A1 MBT, last of the Pattons! The tank was a USMC unit. It had a failed starter and the only way to change it is to pull the pack! We decided that ground hopping it to see if it ran was better than re-installing it only to find that it need to come out again!
