what a good video, thank you so much,, when i started out making quilts i use a very simple brother machine and i loved her so much but then she passed on so i got a janome and i really love her to, a really sweet lady donated her sewing machine to me and it was a brother (oh my heart is happy) anyway i learned early to get a presser foot with a guide but you can also mark a line with painters tape using a index card, the spacing is exactly 1/4"

Ashton you have done a really good job. One suggestion I have for you is to buy a box or 2 of large Safety Pins and use those to hold your quilt sandwitch together instead of straight pins so you won't be sticking yourself.

Beautiful looking garden, its the bees knees. We all have failures and any gardener that says everything is perfect is fooling themselves.

Not that I'm happy about your failures but it's a breath of fresh air that someone is being totally honest and showing failures. Most videos just show perfect plants so it gives the illusion it's easy. This is my kind of video. Thank you for sharing!

I just bought this one, haven't set it up yet.. the only thing I see that I've been told differently is not to add the nutrients until after the seeds have sprouted. Haven't decided what to plant in mine yet.

Nice quilt! I love how you knew where the fabrics pieces came from. Stories add so much to a quilt. Excellent video illustrating that you don't need the newest or most expensive machine or designer fabrics to make a beautiful quilt. If you make more, a good investment would be a package of safety pins to hold the layers together & save your fingers from pin pricks.

You should velcro them shut. That way you can take them off and on. It works great. I bought the sticky fabric kind, then I tacked it in a few placed with thread. But I can wash and dry. You should try it.❤
