Hemmed in by the rain, I had to find a quick place to land. Coming in behind the ridge with likely rotors is not ideal but I kept up my speed and hoped for the best. Saw this video because I´m currently living in Catania for my studies but I´m also a pilot and want to go to Letojanni... but is it a sand beach or a rock beach? Because sand isn't good for the glider
It was a sand beach but the flying was well worth the hour to get all of the sand out of the wing.
I visited this exact spot and wondered if anyone had flown here! Glad someone has! Maybe I'll give it a bash next time I go to Gabs!

Wow! Beautiful video. I went to school nearby in Soni. In the 50s, Irente viewpoint was called "World's End." Here, the Wa-samba watched 24/7 for the cooking fires of invading Maasai, but only ONE road in! 4,000ft vertical drop.

Hello, I'm trying to find out about the regualtions for paragliding in Namibia. Especially dunes soaring. I'm finding it hard to find information but it seems to be fairly strict. Did you encounter and problems or annoyances? Or can you pick and choose your spot without anyone bothering you? Thanks in advance

This is Jackson Hole Wyoming. I like the Delta 2 for bumpy mountain flying, super stable.

@@adventureleopards I live in Tanzania, but I think Sandia is flyable almost year-round. Google maps shows eight hours from Vegas to Albuquerque.

Nice! Small point regarding names, this is Sandia Peak. The crest launch is about a mile north by the towers. You are braver than I am to get that close to the terrain! Makes for spectacular video for sure!
