Cool video! Awesome editing
I give this video like and hope you will run ads to promote your nice channel
why does this video have 3 dislikes?
Do you want to do a review on mother 1/Earthbound beginning if you want, besides thats giygas's aka Giegue's appearance, maybe do a psychoanalysis about why he was driven into madness.
Man I remember seeing it in clearance bins and garage sales multiple times and was always intrigued but was a fool and didn’t pick it up.. oops. Found a loose copy at an LGS for $500.00 last week … yeah can’t afford that rn haha
Holy shit you deserve so much more recognition. This video is fantastic

Great essay, I enjoyed it very much. I never knew dude wrote it for his unborn son, it makes a ton of sense, you can feel the terrible acceptance of death, of wanting your kid to be ok while knowing they’ll have to die one day. This is one of the few games that feels like it has people in it, like it’s not an empty dead void
Thank you very much! Totally agree.
As someone who experienced childhood trauma, I'm sure he found himself wondering what he could do to help his own child should they experience something horrible like he did. I feel this entire work was his finding a way to soothe and heal his own inner wounded child and creating a work of art that was experiencable for the purposes of guiding and reminding that this world is one of contrasts. Horrible ugliness, selfishness, and evil, but also beauty, selflessness, and Love. Just like that one piece of media he saw as a child scarred and traumatized him, so to can a piece of media be used to heal. Its a 40 hour spiritual journey that needs no great knowledge or understanding to appreciate. It resonates with the childlike innocence and beauty we all once had and reminds us that we still have access to it. Knowledge of evil need not eclipse the experience of good, not its expression. Thank you for this journey Peach Doors! You are a phenomenal human being.
Thumbed up, saw it all and now I'm commenting because this video was absolutely AWESOME! Earthbound is great. Definitely an unique rpg.
Thank you for your comment! Glad you enjoyed it.
I like the thumbnail art, I see you listed the creator in your description, but what can you tell me about the artist? I was considering contacting them. Are they good? Easy to work with? Do you happen to know them personally?
Thank you! I met the artist through discord. She was very quick and easy to work with. She gave me several revisions and tweaks to the final version as well.
Great video! I'm impressed by the hard work and effort you put in and the quality shows, even though your channel is small. I was fortunate enough to play the game at release and it has stick with me ever since. I loved the test that Poo faces at the end of his section, which really seemed to challenge conventions. I loved the part where you drink tea with Mr. Saturn, who encourages you after a really big difficulty spike. And the rnding, where you get to walk around to all of the areas of the game and find tons of unique dialogue always felt like a very satisfying ending. I love this game and I'm really glad you made this video! Thank you!
Thank you for your comment! Those sections are excellent.
• This video split facts, man.
Is this guy taking off the nerd???? Hummmm
i loved earthbound even with the difficulty spikes~ good video!!
Same here, thank you!

UA-cam randomly suggested this to me. Great video. Subscribing.
Incredible video thanks
What’s interesting is Marty never returns to his actual timeline … so his original family just loses their son and he never returns. Kind of sad actually.

let's goooo! thanks buddy!
Fantastic vid
I was born in 1984, subscribed!
Wow, nice analysis! I saw BTF so many times but never thought of that physical difference you mentioned and how MJF was so perfect for the role...
Glad you enjoyed it!
This video went super dark for a moment ...
Every time I see the "save the Clock tower" lady I think it's Scott Thompson from Kids in The Hall in drag
Please don't call me 40. It's barely been 39 years since this film was released.
BEST Trilogie of ALL TIME !!! 🥰
Love how this video ends with Doc cheering when the narrator explains that Back To The Future still holds up 😂
Back To The Future contradicts its own rules whenever it suits the plot. I think that pretty much disqualifies it from being “incredible”.
What makes this movie good to me is how the characters learn and grow, among other things, as I talk about in the vid. But I can understand why certain logical elements might hold the movie back for some.
@@peachdoors Yeah like for example: Marty starts to disappear because he wouldn't exist in the new timeline that was created, yet when Biff makes a new timeline the Time Machine wouldn't exist yet the Time Machine doesn't disappear.
But, George is the David in the story. Marty's conflict with Biff is more for comedic relief and story building.
I'd agree with that :)
Why is the kiss disturbing? Marty did not kiss his mother; his mother kissed Marty as Marty was backing away from her. Marty's mother just thought Marty was just another boy and she had no idea he was her future son. It would have been disturbing if Marty gave his future mother the tongue, but he did not. He retreated as far away as he could, backing into the door before she kissed him.
I say that it's disturbing because it's clearly a very uncomfortable situation for Marty. But yes, your scenario would be disturbing as well, maybe in a different way.
I love this movie and the trilogy. I keep rewatching it over and over since day one So many memorable lines from memorable characters... I really love it all...evertime i watch i feel like a kid again. I also love that Its unrebootable and thats a good thing.
Since seeing this at the cinema as a 9 year old this has always been my number 1 movie. You highlighted a couple of things I’d never thought about after dozens of views of the movie, the behind the scenes, other essays etc. I am happy to be your 50th subscriber and I look forward to what you do with your channel.
Thank you so much! That’s a super kind comment.
Thanks! really enjoyed
Happy to hear that!
Are you gonna do back to the future part 2?
Maybe!
One reason why a remake wouldn't work is because of the timing. The 1980s and the 1950s had that right balance of modern and old-fashioned, respectively. A teenager in the 2020s going back in time to the 1990s wouldn't look particularly out of place since clothing , including underwear and sleepwear, wasn't all that different. The biggest changes since then relate to the internet and home entertainment and smart phones.
Fun fact: When designing the world of the 1950s, they had to exaggerate a lot of the features because they thought the '50s was too similar to the '80s. Theoretically the same would happen if a remake were made (though still hopefully they wouldn't).
Yes when watching movies of a bygone era our minds tend to focus on the differences rather than the simularities. Some old movies don't contain enough to seem that out of place. Smart of them to add more distinct stereotypical details.
You got that question wrong, it should be "how do.we live up to our density?"
By compacting our mass.

Time circuit startup sound for the swearing bleep lol
Well T.T probably not but maybe, just maybe, information could be sent bk - a crono camera or something. The Catholic Church has one , so some claim. Uncanny valley , doubably so, those shorts with people in the past on the street going about their business. Well that’s happening NOW- Theory B of time.Truly mind blowing. And horrible. Sorry to end on such a nasty note.
I'd never heard of Theory B of time before, pretty fascinating...
@@peachdoors 😎
The climatic scene where Marty kills it playing Johnny B. Goode, was going to be left on the cutting room floor. Brought bk by popular demand. ( pre view audience)
Glad they kept it in. That scene is the reason I learned to play guitar.
@@peachdoors 😎🤘🏾
“Better get used to these bars kid’ Marty had to display, just once ,a D!&K side to his personality ,otherwise risk being a Mary Sue.
That's a great moment for sure.
Very interesting and philosophical take on my favorite movie of all time. Well done, sir.
Thank you, my friend! Glad you enjoyed it.
Hey! Youre new. I love being part of rising talents. See you at the top!
14:14 Jesus Christ Doc😳 That was heavy🙃 Great video, well done 💪
@@springercollectibles lol, thank you, glad you enjoyed it
"There's that word again! Heavy!"
Back to the Future is white people’s Scarface.
Great video man. Hope you grow quickly man. You have the gift. I have also had a different mindset to the song Power Of Love, and regarding George. Was it the PoL that gave him the courage to finally stand up to Biff? p.s. I was about 9 when this came out. I still remember what theater and where we sat.
Thank you, I appreciate that! PoL was definitely involved, can't discount that for sure.
4:50 both of they scenes had rain on the road , the reason Michaels scene looked sunny is because it was used in the movie, Eric's looked dull (cloudy) because they didn't use it, there was no reason brighten it up, all deleted scenes in movies look dull as it costs money to sharpen the image of film reels, that's why they don't waste the money or time to fix it in post-production when its not going to be in the movie
Good call! Thanks for your insight on that.
I noticed… this vid, the sidewalks are wet.
also due to the fact that the footage that we DO have isn't in HD which probably also has something to do with it
