There was no Wurilitzer used on this track. Left channel is thew Rhodes and the right channel is a tack piano (acoustic). A Wurlitzer was only used on King Crawling Snake.

Deacon could of looped his part! Mays guitar just kinda of jangling around playing those chimey notes very Byrdsy sounds like Tom Petty...especially isolated...then he hits a power chord...magic. Taylors drums just so upbeat plus those claps sound like drum machine! Vocals...Freddy and Bowie nothing to add. Such a simple feel song...just out of thin air...love how the synth answers the piano...

Bass is amazing The EB 3 is so fudgy and you can hear him slamming with the fingers and not a pick . You can hear the bass has great sustain but he controls it wonderfully

Thank you so much! Just a thing, in case someone wants to build a multitrack project, this voice track needs to be edited because the silence at 19:20 and 20:53 doesn't go along the piano track and those parts need to be allocated.

The most remarkable thing about these isolated tracks is that there is a lot of extra sounds in them -- little miffed pick hits, layered, thin sounding 12 strings, an open string on electric that was hit by accident (like what you hear Ronno hit around 10:50 to 11:00 on this track) but sounds great just the same -- stuff that just 10-15 years later would never have made it onto tape during the 1980's when everything was comped to death and cut up and re-taken and re-edited until every part was "perfect". For example, Mutt Lange -- who did those things on the records he produced -- would have produced the soul and greatness out of this record. Ken Scott knew just what to leave in. And what we got out of the deal was an absolute classic.

John a scrappy punk bassist before it was a thing

It makes me sad that a lot of the people I talk to who know The Doors perceive Jim Morrison as he was inaccurately portrayed in the Oliver Stone movie. If you read the actual accounts given by the rest of the band, when Jim wasn't drunk he was an incredibly smart and caring guy.
