Thinking about combining mine out
I’ve started last year September 😂 I’m still combing it out.. I’ve been locked 7 years.. I’m left with 32, had a 103 locs.. been walking with a half head😂

I just started my loc journey. I'm excited but see myself combing out within 5 years.
Hi . Any recommendations for the after care immediately after the last loc. I am detangling before e the first official wash, under dryer conditioning. Friend recommended Jamaican black castor oil. Anyone want to 2nd that or recommend something else?
Cut waist length 20+ years to shoulder length last summer. Now I’m so ready to comb them out and go back to loose hair. I’m from MS… gonna burn the cut locs one day😂 thanks for the update.
I’ve had mine for 8 months thinking it would be easier to handle because I swim 3-4 days a week. Not!!! 2-strand twists are easier to handle and individual curls are easier. Because you still have to gel the edges and retwist each time.
Gotta be patient. Listen to audiobooks and/or watch some excellent videos (diy/educational or entertainment)… you’ll have time!! An hour per loc!!

Thinking about it too... glad to find this I've been loc'ed 18/20 years 5 different sets, currently the 5th year anniversary coming up in June for this set so tired of my scalp feeling tender... After having em interloc'ed a year ago 😢 my hair ain't been the same. I usually cut my loc's at the end of each journey but this this inspiring 🙌🏾 1 question 'Any Regrets on removing em?
No regrets. Each day that goes by I’m loving my loose hair more and more. 💕

@@callmesupreme1533I now feel the same way.I did not grow my locs for style or trend and now I see the masses jumping on the wagon and making locs a trend so I dont feel the same about locs like I used to.
Everyone is putting in fake locs now because it's now the biggest hair trend so you will not be odd at all...If you have real locs you are more gonna be viewd as having in fake ones...crazy times
I have 14 locs left from 97! It's taken me almost 3 months and I'm 9 months pregnant but I'll be finished this weekend 🎉

You know I didn't think of it as a "comb out journey". This has shifted my perspective! Once I decided when I am officially ready, I'm gonna take my time instead of setting a deadline. I love that I can style my hair as I go!

Did you experience hair breakage within the one year period after the comb out?
No, but I have been keeping up with routine trimming. I have silk pressed and trimmed 3 times in the year and still manage to keep good health and length.
I’ve been locked for 4 years and I’m going to comb mine out soon also.. your hair looks great 💫❤️

Cut about 10 inches before the comb out. It would take 3-8hrs for one loc…

Hi, It’s probably shrinkage💕. With loc’s the dead hair adds weight to the loc and keeps the hair stretched so it can be shocking when you first experience shrinkage… don’t judge until it’s completely combed out… it’s longer than you think 💕😉
