The people who make top cases are gonna hate me for this, but I show you how to DIY top case for under $100. This assumes you have some kinda rack to mount the case to. Drop a comment below if you have feedback or suggestions of your own.

This is a review of several different types of erasers including, Staedler, Prismacolor, Alvin, Caran d'Ache, Faber-Castell, Factis and Papermate's Pink Pearl.
We must all go through this when we look a the price of a BMW OEM top case.I made one like this for my 2017 gs, in 2017. I jerry rigged some aluminum flat bar, inside the case, and steel flat bar outside, to clamp the case to the existing BMW structure. However, I also had the OEM Vario side cases. On my 2022 1250 GS, I have the aluminum panniers, but will still make my own top case. Its a lower profile, and looks kinda tough.
You could use U-bolts so that all the fasteners are on the inside of the box. Nice work though.
I think its not 1510 pelican
We use them. Excellent.
Ali express have great canoe dry bags that make great soft luggage and they cost very little i have some the quality is exellent mine are bright yellow for visibility
Great advice mate and great job with the case looks great on the bike
Why is there a picture of Lou Ferrigno on your first aid kit??
You can just put a jam nut inside to prevent people from undoing the mounting device
The wing nuts will not stay tight unless you use thread lock or a spring washer to allow for vibration, nylock nuts would be much better!
I like what you did but to avoid the stuff poking into the box, use a shorter screw and T-nuts which will be almost flush with the bottom of the box.
*Love these!✾>**imgs.love/lWheeledTote?も** We are transferring all our various storage containers to only these! They stack wonderfully. They're durable. And the wheels and handle are SO helpful!*
Without triangulating the attachment the plastic case will break, also more like $400 DIY rack. Eitherway, it's at least half the price of any option on the market. Thanks for the vid
So $100 plus $265 for the bracket. Kind of misleading.
No the top case itself is 100$. That's exactly what the title suggests.
excelent advice and excelent video Sr.! really helpfull :D
Ok, but you need to add at least one more fastener to triangulate.
Harbor Freight sells Apache cases similar to the Pelican cases but a lot less $.
Very nice. I think I would have gone with Nylock nuts on the inside. Lower profile and the bolt will just spin if someone tries an Allen wrench from below.
Yes
Very interesting IDea, thank you
I love it. I just need to haul a brief case and lunch daily. Hate the cost and look of my GIVI. Officially stealing your design. Any updates? Thanks!
That's exactly what i was thinking of making to haul my work tools around on a little 125
its great, now you should make something which can be quick fit and released.
