I recently had the chance to test drive the NEW McLaren Trophy race car at Sebring International Raceway thanks to my good friends at Orlando Motorsports Services. Partnered with McLaren of Orlando, OMS provides sales and support of the new McLaren Trophy race cars, in addition to the McLaren Artura GT4, and currently has availability for additional slots in their racing program for 2025.
The car is absolutely fantastic. With over 600HP, a carbon tub, a Push-to-Pass feature, great downforce, killer brakes, all the electronics and a smooth-as-glass ride, this car put a huge smile on my face. It is a proper race car; precise, fast, yet easy to drive and super communicative.
The McLaren Trophy America series will offer 10 races over 5 weekends run in conjunction with the SRO America schedule. At over four hours a weekend, drivers will enjoy a fantastic level of track time at some of America’s most iconic circuits. The 50-minute races will feature a mandatory pit-stop for a driver change, and success-based time penalties will ensure that the field remains tight, and every race is guaranteed to be action packed.
Pro, Pro-Am and Am classes will be offered.
