awesome....very instructional and reminds me of some of my yoga training integrating the breath and building the core. Thanks!
Elliot draws on his broadcasting chops with “It’s true”
Next video: How to tighten your helmet strap like a pro, ha hah!
This repetition narrative is exactly what I needed to hear. I feel like so many people at the bike park are lucking their way through jumps that are outside their abilities, rather than building the muscle memory that leads to confidence.
Damn never knew Elliot was like that. Sick
That beautiful bronson is getting insulted by the orange fork sir 😢
I ran like 8 psi when I started and thought I had upper 20s lmao
Really great how you jump into the nuisances of setting up yr bike and the importance of making small adjustments and test/try!
There approach of choosing your lines/path has a lot in common with motor racing on a circuit, in terms of what you wanna achieve (go fast, smooth, fun, etc.). Track-knowledge is a BIG advantage, but looking forward far enough is just as important!
Biggest mistake ppl make is getting an orange fork 😂
Elliot is such a chill dude. He's a great commentator, and it's cool to see him in some ride vids like this.
What microphones are used here thx
ALUMINIUM! BTW ;-)
TQ for the info. SUBSCRIBED!
Never a dull moment. TQ for sharing.
Sage advice. Good decisions come from experience. Experience comes from bad decisions.
how can i be a mechanic on downhill world cup?
SC 👊
Massive I wouldn’t trust him 😅
if your not nervous then your not trying
Just subscribed. I learned alot for these guys. BK was one of my fave riders.
This channel is LIT !!! LOVE IT
Legit awesome video guys!!! 🔥
Confidence and repition? I'm sure that I could gain that if I knew what a repition was. 😅
I love old-school downhill bikes. 👌👌 We don't have bike parks here. Only natural trails so an old school DH bike is enough.
Love the bike design ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
Hi Crux Academy, Do you have any recommendations for mtb coaching in whistler? Specifically downhill coaching on an enduro bike?
BK is THE goat
Sir I am also from village. I am very confused about selection of cycle for mountain ride. Please suggect me which cycle cam I purchase. Hoping you will get my message.
Just be like Sam Pilgrim and 180 to land backwards!
I really dig watching these two together. 🤝
I wear glasses with a full face Enduro helmet (Troy Lee Stage). Can’t wear goggles while climbing, too hot and taking goggles off no sun protection on my eyes and face. Glasses much cooler to climb and DH air flow for enduro.
Thank you, great video with lots of explanation on the parts of a whip!
Good times, my friend!
I carry a small folding saw with me in case i have to make crutches.
As a father of a kid that wants to be pro, these insights are super helpful as we don't have any experience. Thanks for what you're doing for others with these videos Eliot.
Glad to help!
Seeing a black MTBer is sooo refreshing, I thought I was the only one.........until I saw Jamaican MTBers......wow, what an environment to absolutely SHRED. Dream location for me. Eliot is the only black guy I know of with a big MTB Channel, he's a Pioneer.
Love this and thanks for the message! He is a pioneer!
@@cruxacademybike DEFFO! Big ups from the UK.
Always put on sunscreen!
Proud of you Eliot!!! Keep doing your thang.
🙌🏽
Yes every one in pivot, nice
Always enjoy your insights on things. Totally agree, align yourself with people/brands/businesses that fit your persona so you can keep doin you.
Such a tough field w/ so many competitors that are just as hungry as the next person. What would you advise people about Health Insurance? People looking for sponsorship w/o a job to provide insurance is a big risk to take on. Great Video! Congrats on your success and accomplishments my Ninja!👊🏽
Great view! Tkx!
Only bring 5 nips of fireball instead of all 10
49 y old engineering type here. So good to hear real numbers and physics discussed 👍
Now I’m a bit older and a very little bit more sensible, this makes sense.
After a bad accident years ago I’m just starting to ride again at 51yo and my rule is if trail goes next to a steep drop I get off and walk, always. Don’t care how silly it looks or what anyone thinks
Yup - I'm a long torso short leg guy, and I ride a medium (should be on a large), but I run 1" of spacers and a 25mm rise bar....gets it right in the pocket for me. It's a bit of a princess and the pea situatoin for getting your handlebar in a position that puts you in the neutral position on the bike. Great observation and something everyone should ponder.
I used to duo ride, my friends lack of time means it's mostly solo now and it's a big mental difference. Self rescue in paramount. 1. Not getting hurt so now I wear full armour it's subtle enough. Slow ride new trails or any where it's been a while. Be nice to other users (horsesriders/dogwalkers/hikers) chances are solo it'll be one of them that helps you. 2. Hand packed First aid kit for mtb'ing and a rescue whistle. Winter I pack air activated hand warmers. Tools+small parts for my bike. 3. I leave a few energy gels in my pack ever since I forgot snacks. 4. I try to make rides in a figure 8 around the van or start on the trails furthest and ride back to the van 5. Back up gear in the van big first aid kit, tools/spares, clothes of different weather, suncream, electrolytes and lots of water. I would say phone but its flaky, you can't rely on it (no buddy to ride to the top of the hill for signal), still worth getting the number of whoever manages the land, along with sharing a live gps location with a friend.
