I'm looking for a non-reactive ball with a lot of hook. I don't like the fact that reactive balls have to be 'maintained' and don't last long, so I guess urethane is the way to go. Is the Black pearl my best choice?

Wow...I haven't seen anything this absurd in quite some time. The only thing that's been "proven" here is that you have no idea how the scientific method works. The only way to answer this question in any meaningful way, would be to have a manufacturer produce two or more balls that were identical, except for the color(s). Same core, same cover stock formula... then put the same layout on them, and have the same bowler throw them with SPECTO. Then you'd have a shot at coming to a consensus as to whether or not color affects performance. Introducing any other variables renders the experiment utterly worthless... and you choose the biggest variable of all: A fresh cover versus a ball with hundreds of games on it. Why do you think the guys on TV drill a dozen balls a week? Fresh covers perform better...

Comparing a ball with "500 games on it" to a brand new ball? There's no way you could tell anything about color with them.

You lost me right at the beginning. How can you compare a ball with 500 games on it to a brand new one and learn anything about how the "color" would impact the reaction? The only way to know is to compare two brand new out of the box balls of different colors.

Scientific investigations need to have 1 variable you are testing while the others are consistent. You have 2- color AND a massive useable disparity. It could be color or loss of performance or a mixture of both. Good video even if the title is a bit misleading. 👍🏼
