quick 1.1 bug fables bad book dupe "setup"
here's a quick little setup for this bad book dupe. If you know how duping works, then this should all make sense, and if not go watch my guide! :3

Step 1 - get the bad book down from the thing:
Hold it to the wall with hurricane, then when you release the hold it should zoop to you very fastlike, so move away from it and pause as soon as you can.
Step 2 - get the bad book in the right spot:
Use the beemarang to get the book onto the left side of the teacup entrance. Only throw the beemarang fully horizontally using the D-pad for this. Try and get the book in as far back as it will go with this angle.
Step 3 - get the you in the right spot:
Use the bush wall to the south. You can get yourself into a corner where you wont move anymore by holding down+left, so start there.
Step 4 - attempt/retry:
Pause the game so you can buffer an angle. Hold up+left and unpause. Kabbu dash and stay with that angle. It usually won't work first try from the starting spot, so go back to it, then inch yourself a tiny bit to the left, then try again. Keep trying until you succeed. the book won't disappear from taking too long.

Here's a way to use out-of-bounds movement to get past a block that normally needs 100 Power to remove. Apparently if you leave the area to the right, then enter from the right, the blocks will just be gone?? I guess the game assumes that if you load that room while facing to the left it can only possibly mean you came from that staircase, so the blocks should be permanently removed. I'm guessi...

So here's these trials you can do in Ikenfell's final dungeon to get each character's ultimate weapon. The out-of-bounds route lets you complete them as soon as you get these characters (you can even attempt them before getting these characters, but then you can't change their equipment). Rad. I would'nt'hve thunk the speedrun for this has you do Maritte's character arc backwards to get her kicked out of the party, reach the final waypoint, and then grind as efficiently as possible for the next 4/5ths of the playtime. That's fuggin awesome (and in a recording I the viewer can skip those parts).

Started playing the entire Ebf series like a month ago and i'd say i raged a lot on the Mammoth boss and i kept asking how anyone could beat this is Epic mode.... I then realized, it's because i never use healing items in games. Or any other items.

I've beaten this game on Epic without fighting any non-mandatory battles (besides the one blocking the Rock Lake crystal, but not until after Pyrohydra; the comparatively miniscule EXP from the RL Crystal fight isn't enough for an unwanted level-up by this point). I did use stat-boost items, though (including those from the 60-medal area, whose fights can be skipped like all the other bonus areas); I'm curious if a similar run would be possible without them...
you’re most likely going to have to spend a lot of your money on coffee and all that other stuff not only that an awful lot of factors can ruin the battles
@@admiren Well, the minigames do provide effectively unlimited money that isn't tied to EXP gain. Plus, it's possible to take enough damage to fill limit meters in normal battles, then flee. Although, the last minigame (Rock Runner) is locked behind that optional, respawning Beholder miniboss that is used for grinding to level 30 in this run (which is stronger than the mandatory one previously encountered, but this part is probably irrelevant). This means that the last available minigame in the run is Ruin Raider. It still nets you a decent profit if you play well/long enough.

Dude, Donquikonga thank you so MUCH for making this video, i couldn't find any speedrun of epic battle fantasy on Epic mode, i'm so happy you made this one, very good game play, very good strategy, and NO commentary, Perfect! Are you planning on speedrunning Epic Battle fantasy 5 too?
Just think, if a bunch of people ran this game, they could optimize the throwing strats down to the frame, and change around the route, and everything! You definitely seemed to have a good route, nice job with the star-juggling, and you made a couple of insane three-pointers...

Christ- Mitchell really does exemplify "tortured artist-" he's gone through so much, yes, and it's awful that happened to him, but the silver lining is that he's got a lot of insight on really dour topics, and a creative mind that can allow that insight to be used for something really cool- like his games and music.
