Never seen Gel coat put on so thick and with a brush. A roller would have been a better choice in my opinion.

When they build fibreglass hulls they wax the mould first then spray on gel coat or even roll it on then lay there fibreglass. I bought a 5 gallon bucket of it in 2015 it was 500$ cnd then so you can imagine by now
