Good to see you back at making videos. Take care and keep up the good work!
Great job!
Thank you!
Wow..
Thank you!
My goodness, the instruments are amazing. Did they mean to have them part of the odor removal as well. St. Francis is a favorite for sure...especially quotes on humility.
They asked that the instruments stay in for odor removal--they needed it, definitely. I treated this house with half of what I'd normally use because of the instruments--too much increase in humidity right away, along with an oxidizer that could oxidize the strings and any steel hardware that isn't sealed properly.
What a beautiful home! The outside looked amazing! There's a lot involved cleaning a 'stink house" You seem to get a lot of satisfaction out of your work. Well done Dave!
Thank you! I love solving problems, and I like making things better. I do take a ton of pride in my work!
Wow Dave, to thoroughly clean the kitchen must take a tremendous amount of time and effort. I have a question, how do you clean the top surface if it were wood, and what is the name of the cleaner you used or is it a produce unique to your company.
I used to only ever use microfibers to clean, and I'd go through a ton of them! If the tops were actual wood I'd probably do the same thing but not quite so aggressively, then go through a bunch of microfiber cloths. It would have taken a few more hours. My product is a surfactant (soap) and activated chlorine dioxide that I mix up at the time of use. A DIYer could use a bit of dish soap in their water spray bottle to clean.
If we use 500 gram tablet how much water do u use per room .. and water in jars …
Does this work if I have neighbors who chain smoke next door and it enters through my electrical outlets and sockets and plumbing?
@@indigovoxofficial you’d need to seal those wall penetrations to stop the smoke entering your home, then if we gassed off your home it would get rid of the odors. As long as the odor source remains in place, the smell will return.
@ I sealed off the areas but unfortunately the smoke travels inside the plumbing
Indians need to realise no food is worth destroying properties over, just assimilate and cook local foods.
I had no idea of a "curry house". It's good to know you were able to solve the problem for home owners !
Is there an odor after the treatment?
Yes, it will smell a little bit like a pool after the treatment for a day or three. Some don't notice it at all. Here's a long story about the odor after a treatment: A client said his wife insisted the car I treated for cigarette odor smelled like chlorine dioxide 14 days after I treated it. I didn't know how that would be possible, chemically speaking, as ClO2 gets used up by VOCs and sunlight. I could understand 3 days, but not two weeks. After investigating and finding no chlorine smell, I pulled the cabin filter again and asked her if that was the smell she noticed. She confirmed that was the odor. I told her that wasn't chlorine dioxide, but maybe some sort of essential oil. She called her husband and he said he did soak the cabin filter in lemongrass oil (I think. It's been a few years so I may be incorrect about the essential oil). She was MAD!!! She thought that was my chemical, but instead it was her husband trying to help kill any airborne germs that would pass through the cabin filter.
You never said how to get rid of it??
Find the odor source(s), clean or remove them, then gas off the interior treating the air handler, HVAC ductwork, ceilings, walls, floors, and inside and outside all cabinets and vanities. We use ClO2. Your comment indicates you're not in the industry. If you're looking for DIY, then we do have a DIY kit that is sized for vehicles and small rooms, and of course can be used for a house, but make sure you have proper PPE.
What is the odor? Mildew? Urine? What is recommended, exactly, and what would that cost be?
Remove the odor source and then gas off the entire interior volume including the air handler, HVAC ductwork, ceilings, walls, floors and inside and outside of all cabinets and vanities with ClO2. Cost varies by provider and location--we use MUCH MUCH more ClO2 than anyone else in AZ due to low humidity, whereas higher humidity areas needs less ClO2. Where are you located? How long has the house been smoked in or how long have the pets been in the home, etc.? Contact me if you want to discuss your specific project. I'm happy to help.
What is the stuff you are using…great to see it works but you never say what it is you are using
We mix our cleaner using a specialized surfactant and ClO2.
@@mastergermandodorremoval how do I get some ? That’s the real question.
Where are you located? It's not something we sell, but if you're nearby I'll fill up your spray bottle.
TSP also works great.
Would like to know what you’re using 🤷🏼♂️
We mix our cleaner using a specialized surfactant and ClO2.
Where is a good place to buy clo2? I'm new to odor removal and I wanted to use both Ozone and Clo2 but I'm not sure where to get clo2 from.
We protect that information for the sake of our people and brand. Where are you located?
@@mastergermandodorremoval I do understand. I'm in Atlanta, Georgia.
What is the product please
We mix a surfactant (soap) and chlorine dioxide
Hi Dave! Good to see you making another video. I’m still in a relentless search for something to dissipate the lingering chlorine smell after deodorizing. Yes, I get rid of the smoke odor, but some don’t like the “swimming pool” odor either. Any ideas??
Air it out, wipe down with distilled water, or use anything with VOC's to use up the excess ClO2, even kick on the heat for an hour. Extremely chemically sensitive people MAY notice it up to 14 days, but I have NEVER had a client notice it that long. Typical is 0-3 days. One client said they noticed the odor after 14 days and said it's unbearable. I pulled the cabin filter out of the car and they said that was much better--the father had doused the cabin filter with lemon essential oil to work as a disinfectant. The wife came out when I was finished (all leather, formerly a smoker's car) and she loved it. I showed her the cabin filter I had removed and she confirmed that was the overwhelming odor in the car. Long story short, always pull the cabin filter to check it, even if the client says it's new.
Thanks for the reply! I’ll give your suggestions a try. Keep up the good work!
Great idea love the idea and yes it’s been a minute since we spoke last Bob out of LI NY
Why tape the fireplace?
So the ClO2 does not escape. We want to treat smoke odors in the house from cigarettes, not smoke odors in the chimney from fires. We seal all penetrations and leaks.
If I am using an over kill amount does it matter to not tape off stuff?
@@michaelg1097 It is your responsibility to keep the ClO2 contained to your treatment area. Take the extra time to tape it off.
Indian home
Hi Dave, nice work as always. What is the significant of your mentioning that distilled water was used? Thanks!
Just a small note, the odor can return when it rains or it's damp outside.
Which is why it's so necessary to clean well and to remove the urine that is able to be removed first. We had a garage where we finally found the source--it had been covered up by the sellers with sheet rock. They had a large home made pet door in the garage side wall, and the bottom plate that attached to the stem wall was SOAKED with urine. When we finally found the source I advised the homeowner that I would personally just remove the bottom 2' of drywall for an 8' section (easy to repair) and make sure I had clean margins, then remove the completely rotted out bottom plate and replace it. Our treatment would be great for the concrete that isn't so easy to remove and replace.
2:04 He says he soaked the slab with, "activated clorada??? oxide" WHAT? This is what inquiring minds want to know! What did you soak the slab with to remove the cat urine smell please?
@@jellybeandakota6140 Thanks for the reply but I was asking specifically for what chemical he said at that exact point in the video. As for me, I haven't found anything better for neutralizing urine than Vinegar and the best cleaner is Odoban the one labeled as a disinfectant.
Activated Chlorine Dioxide. Our website has more information: www.MasterGermAndOdorRemoval.com
Just use white vinegar to clean it and get some fresh linen candles to burn. They neutralize everything.
They tried everything in this home first. Vinegar is wonderful for cleaning, though the odor is rough. Lots of homeowners use vinegar for cleaning nicotine off of walls.
The house we just bought smells bloody like meat and fish. It’s like a wet market. We are vegetarian and we aren’t used to this smell and it is nauseating. We are not able to get rid of the smell so we haven’t moved in yet. Will this method work? Thanks.
Make sure to remove the odor source, then this will neutralize the molecular side of things. Give me a call if I can help--use the 602 number on the website, otherwise it rings to a different phone.
Where do you buy this?
Send me an email with your shipping address and I’ll send over an invoice. We’re primarily a service company, so there’s no shopping cart on our website. Maybe we can add that feature?
What is the product?
He doesn't tell us but I have seen other UA-camrs recommend just dish soap and water in a spray bottle. Here is what I use so I know it works even better:- Get a spray bottle, fill it with warm water and add a tablespoon of dish soap, preferably good quality, and two tablespoons of household ammonia. You should be able to find ammonia in the cleaning aisle of your supermarket or in a hardware store. Wear gloves as ammonia is hard on your hands but it cuts grease like you wouldn't believe. Cleans nicotine just like in the video and makes light work of kitchen grease. Better and cheaper than commercial products and great for cleaning paintwork.
A bit useless video if you dont tell us what the product is. Come on
Activated Chlorine Dioxide is the main product used. I sure didn't mean to leave you all hanging--every video posted and our website all say we used chlorine dioxide for odor removal. Our website has more information: www.MasterGermAndOdorRemoval.com
Cool video
Thank you! Maybe it's time to open Master Germ and Odor Removal UK. I do like London!
Also, how strong was the Chrline dioxide?
Our treatment rate is part of our proprietary formula, refined over many many jobs and continuously growing with new data and experiences. We established our baseline after three years of working with chlorine dioxide.
Did you leave the sofa bedding in the house as is? Or were the sheets and cloth sofas taken out?
It depends on the situation-how long was it smoked in, where did they smoke, did something spill on the mattress, etc. The follow up video shows the client how we left the unit-always better than before, and never requiring the host to visit the property before the next guest arrives. We want to always leave the units ready for immediate occupancy.
How many grams of chlorine dioxide do you put on a 1000sqf area? Thanks
That's all part of the secret sauce! Think through the factors--odor, severity, previous cover up, perfumes, flooring, ceiling, etc.
Can this be used for painting
If your paint is the same thickness of water perhaps. Maybe stain? The pump is much smaller than on a paint sprayer. Check the recommended pressure on a paint sprayer and the tip size, then see if this matches. It's probably cheaper just to use a paint sprayer for spraying paint.
You can check out the DIY kits (XXL tabs and Regular tabs) here: www.MasterGermAndOdorRemoval.com/DIY To order, send your shipping info to: UA-cam@MasterGermAndOdorRemoval.com XXL tabs--I use these almost exclusively. It's permanent. If the odor source is gone, then the odors will not return.
Question what are the brand you use for clo2 tablet...

Where can I get chlorine oxide to treat the smells in my home, curry smells
We don't sell the units we use to treat homes. They are very much industrial chemicals that require proper PPE and training. Where is your home? I may be able to connect you with someone who is in your area. If it's the walls and cabinets you're cleaning, use a good degreaser (dish soap) diluted properly. For the top of the cabinets, use a 4" or 6" putty knife to get rid of the bulk of the oil that is up there, then clean, using LOTS of microfibers so you're getting rid of the curry oil and not just smearing it around.
This guy is the gassiest mime ever!;)
Absolutely! I usually mix outside in the open air, but this works in weather. Making that gas vapor!
Do people that use curry not smell it? My upstairs neighbors use it and it comes in my apartment and smells up my clothes 🙄
It's a heavy odor because it is oil-based. So, the oil goes up in the steam of cooking and falls back down when it cools if it hasn't yet attached to a surface. No, the smell is different to the person making the smell as they become "nose-blind" to that odor. It's the same way folks who smoke don't smell the cigarette odors on their clothes or in their hair, and people with plug-in air fresheners don't smell that perfume and plug in more air fresheners, until it's choking for people to enter their home. Congregations with older people will have a much stronger perfume smell than a similar sized congregation of younger people. While they do smell the odors, it is not nearly as strong as it is for those around them.
How many grams did you use?
I used our XXL Vehicle tablet
What size tablet(grams) would you use for car interior?
I typically use 1 or 2 of our XXL Vehicle Systems depending on vehicle size and odor severity.
I'm a Turo host and I have this issue. How do I purchase the DIY kit...I don't find an option on your website?

I am a curry lover, as it turns out (love Indian food) but I do not love residual cooking odor, no matter what I make. Thanksgiving turkey was stinky enough after enjoying it that it drove me to seeking a video like this. Thank you for the learning!
You're welcome! To get rid of the odor, we get rid of the odor source. Clean and air out the property, and if it needs more help to get into the pores of the paint and sheetrock, the flooring and grout, and especially the HVAC system ductwork and air handler, we get to help. We love helping make spaces safer and more comfortable for folks, especially since air quality is such an important part of our health. Thanks for the comment!
Great stuff!
That's awesome!
