Here's another tune of ours from our Greenville gig called "Twenty-two." It's fairly self explanatory really.

Here's a tune from our recent show at The Music Box Listening Room. It was a great way to spend an afternoon with friends new and old. Special thanks to Erin and Dale for helping to make this our favorite gig in the whole wide world.

This features the debut of an Ella St. John original song called "Piper" that we recently worked up. It is also the first time she has performed one of her songs live. Well done, Ella!

This is a tune from our recent gig at Grandpa's Place in Glenview. The girls and I do a song of mine called "This Time They've Gone Too Far" that appeared on our 2nd album Come Right In as well as 1992's Standing In The Light from the band Borrowed Time.

Joel Malkoff, currently living in Montreal, makes his Chicago debut at Borelli's and sings his song "Golden Light." Over a roughly 45-minute set, Joel exhibited songs with a unique lyrical and melodic sense that was very much of his own making. He is a singular talent with a soon-to-be-released EP that you may not want to miss. Such a fun night of music. Thanks Joel and family for making this t...

Wildflowers

Heres our closing tune from the May Fair set. The first time I heard Tom Petty's "Wildflowers", I thought 'this guy must have daughters.' Turns out he did, and it is a favorite with our dad/daughter trio.

The indomitable Dorfs! battle high winds and mis-remembered guitar breaks to bring you a nice little number from Tom Petty sung by Carm Cristiano. This is another number from our set at the 2024 CWS May Fair.

The Ella & Marlon Show makes its debut at the Chicago Waldorf School May Fair. This was Ella's first time out handling the electric bass duties typically assigned to Abi, and she performed splendidly. Here we are doing the Kinks classic "Waterloo Sunset."

This is the only time I can recall waking up from a sound sleep with a full melody alive and breathing in my head. Usually I hunt around for one a bit, but this one was already there with the first few lines as well. I got up early on a Sunday in 2003 and jotted it down. Our initial recording session occurred a number of years later in December of 2016 when Abi was eighteen. Even more years ela...

🥀Beautiful Songs by Jackson Browne and James Taylor Thank's for posting this video I love them both 🥀✌🥀✌
I saw them last Friday in Greensboro. Jackson Browne sounds great - Like studio mix great. What can you day about James Taylor - he is great.
What a great concert that had to be in my opinion, who grew up in this epic era.
Very pretty.
One of my favorite Beatles songs! I sang along with you all!❤🎵🎤🎶💤
Sounding so lovely!!! Wish we could have been there!❤🎵🎤🎶
great job
I saw the show in Nashville, TN. Some of my music idols have lost their voices but not Jackson and Sweet Baby James. Rock on sirs.
James zzzzzzzzz suck
Thank you for this post! Will see this live concert on August 28th in Holmdel NJ! Can't wait!!!!! LOL. This post was a huge tease for me!!! Thanks again! PS. Where was this concert?
@Jackson Browne YOU are a HACKER!
We saw them in Charleston West Virginia a couple weeks ago. What an amazing performance throughout. Is there a better band on earth than the one Jackson has here?
HOW LONG did Jackson Browne play ?
Really enjoying Jason Crosby’s addition to the JB sound - meticulous as ever. Seemless. A kindred spirit. Play on.
Thanks. This is great :)
A little rusty on those lyrics. Rock on.
He’s alive and still part of the flow. We could have lost him to COVID. He’s my age - 72 - 73 in October. I couldn’t go on the road, performing every night. And there he is. After all the songs and all the performances, what’s a few words here or there? Experience the heart and soul - not the small stuff.
@@marymckim4822 been loving jb for more than 40 years . That’s why I checked out the vid. Just saying he’s “a little rusty” is hardly a rough comment that needs your explanation for Jackson. It’s simply an observation and not an attack. You may now go back to screaming at the tv. Ps. Playing guitar or piano is not physically taxing , neither is traveling in a half million dollar tour bus. Love Jackson but Jackson isn’t built like Schwarzenegger because an acoustic weighs like 4 pounds. Willie Nelson tours . Dylan tours. The stones tour.
The talented genius Jackson truly is, is highlighted by the fact that no matter what, he keeps on playing. Thank you so much for sharing this. So thoughtful of you.
@@1962LIBBY clearly you have never stood on a stage for 90 minutes performing with a variety of instruments including heavy solid body electrics... in fact when's the last time you stood for that long..??
@@direwolf6234 if that impresses you then you have clearly never held a good old fashioned labor job. If a little rusty hurts your feelings then life is gonna be a mother fucker.
Good to see this after 10 years.
Lovely, you are very good. Thank you very much for these moments.
Hi Marlon great to hear and watch this video of that fun night we all shared together I enjoyed recording you and Mark that night for this video. I believe that was only the second time I had met you and I was just impressed with your musical Talent your joy of just being free and sincerely expressive in your music your wonderful comic personality you're just a genuine great fellow and it's good to hear you guys play this again warm regards Erwin
Great to hear from you. Thanks once again for stepping in and recording the video for us. Zeus and I played last night and could have used you there! Hopefully, I can get down to Houston again and we can reprise this whole thing soon.
Fabulous! Thanks for recording this.
Very much enjoyed watching this today, Abbie and Marlon! it is my hope that Abbie is enjoying her college experience and the whole family is doing well! Warm regards, Erwin Schonfeld
Abbie is home on her autumn break. She is very much enjoying school. We played a private party on Saturday, but this song got dropped from the set list, so we are including it here. Thanks so much for giving it a listen! Hope you are doing well.
Thanks, Man!
My favorite duo!!!
oh man sorry Marlon (first and last time I will call you Martin!) You don't have footage from your show at The Americana, that I can see?! Hope so!
There may be some somewhere. Believe it or not, we haven't had a chance to look at everything yet from our trips. I have been trying to solve a problem with our back up drives (they were all full), prior to downloading anything more. We may run across some footage yet.
Very nice, Abi and Martin! Great writing, great playing, great singing. Love you guys, wish I was there!
The pleasure is all ours!
The Chapel of love rocks!
Jelly Roll Morton, Thanksgiving, and the wonderful St.John family! You can't beat that! Enjoyed meeting everyone last night! Erwin
Pretty cool, wish I could have been there! Kudos to you and Mark!
We'll do the same thing in June down by you. It would be great seeing you again, Erwin. It was sure fun the last time!
This is hard to watch, A fat snorlax with no talent.

marlon you should be more famous brother great job you and mark
Great! A little surprised it wasn't My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion!
So cute...did Laura and Abbie dress in similar colors just to throw me? Lordy.
In my opinion, the Museum of Science and Industry isn't just for kids. I think adolescents and adults alone like it too.
I BEEN THERE
So cute!
Good job Marlon.
