What i was thinking is that the inner vortex is at a higher pressure (hence temperature), so heat is passed to the outer vortex which has a lower pressure (hence temperature). The cooled air cools down further in the nozzle

seems like something you can literally DIY for less than 50$, or whatever that vortex tube cost......found few on you-know-what website for like 40$....

i mean i need to get a compressor in a backpack or what to have this working on the go ?

Hello I love this video. I have a ITW Vortec cold air gun 610 I bought this for cheap. My configuration looks almost like yours but there was no O ring on the aluminum cap. There was a THIN O ring under the plastic sleeve and a THICK one on top , just under the aluminum cap. Does this configuration sound correct to you? outer layer is compressed thus heat is created, doesn't take heat from inner layer. Ever pumped up a tire with a bicycle pump? heat is generated because of compression. Ever used a CO2 fire extinguisher? it gets cold for the same reason your air conditioner gets cold, a compressed gas is released. I find it interesting how arrogant people make things complicated to get attention when in fact it's simple!
