    Beautifully performed, ladies. It's honestly not to my taste but you do a remarkable job of rearranging the song.

    What is your strumming pattern on this?

    • @lizcrawf
      @lizcrawf 6 років тому

      The strumming pattern is mainly d du udu. You can see a chart of Basic Strumming Patterns on my website. www.dundeeu3aukes.wordpress.com/links-2/tips-for-beginners/ This one is number 9 on 4/4 patterns. However, don't get hung up on specific patterns. Try out a few, then play what comes naturally to you for each song and enjoy.

    Some trivia about these songs: The Loco-motion was the 2nd song to reach #1 by 2 different artists. The Drifters in the 60s and Grand Funk in the 70s. Came close to a new milestone when it reached #2 by Kylie Minogue in the 80s. Coincidentally the first song to hit #1 by 2 different artists was "Go Away Little Girl", also written by Carole King & Gerry Goffin. "Save The Last Dance For Me" was written by Doc Pomus & Mort Shuman. Doc Pomus had been stricken with Polio so this song was written in his perspective. He couldn't dance so he was saying you can dance with any guy, but don't forget who's taking you home.

    The choir loved singing this beautiful song by Karine Polwart, arranged by Peter Hunt. We borrowed the song from the Folk Voiceworks 30 Traditional Songs by Peter Hunt and David Oliver. The harmony part suited the violins and the guitar accompaniment sounded good, as did the singers in the beautiful Invergowrie Parish Church Acoustics.
