Granted, American-made vehicles sold here are almost as bad. "Inbuilt" rust in LDVs and some other brands shows through in less than 12 months. Thickness of brake rotors and pads in GWM products is noticeable compared to competitors from Japan, Korea and Thailand. Suspension welds in brands like Chery are a laugh. So yes, buying cars from China remains a scam for the present.
