My Custom FEAR Combat - XFG Aim Practice Map
This was a quick custom map I made for F.E.A.R. & F.E.A.R. Combat so our clan members, friends and others could practice their aiming and leaning skills. Best for 1v1. Anymore then that and then it becomes a kill-box style map which can be a lot of fun too.

I always loved playing Instagib on the DM-Gael map in UT2004 in 1v1's and 2v2's. So I was sad to see Epic Games didn't include it with UT3. Common sand bed substrate & easy to grow plants Filtration is 2 Fluval FX6's Lighting is 3 x 48" Finnex Planted 24/7 LED fixtures Auto dosing pump DP4 Jebao DIY PVC quick water change system with storage tank DIY aquarium stand modeled after KING OF DIY joey vid's Total weight of tank with water, sand etc = 2,800lbs Tank is made out of 1/2" Acrylic

This was one of my first attempts at a planted tank and a new camera.

Is this different than the original Checkmate map? I played it a bit but v2 was much more popular in 2k3 and 2k4 instagib.
Ya it's a fair bit different then the original. The original was much more basic, no fancy textures and if i recall just had one upper level walkway in a -z- shape where as mine has two. Mine is much more detailed texture wise and has -s- shaped curved hallways. Plus mine has the whole Chess theme going on. The original had no theme, just plain walls nothing fancy.

Hey man, i recommend you giving this Starship it's own Power, NUCLEAR POWER and manufacture high end parts only on the ship. Since they require less material per stack therefore would be feasible to transfer via drones. For rest keep very small factories /colonies on the ground to extract and process raw resources into mid level parts which then get transported to THE MOTHERSHIP. This will solve logistics issue and also give a sense of Huge Alien Ship harvesting resources at a planetary scale. Best of luck for the project, highly impressed so far

Nice job! How much time did it take you to design and build your starship?
I seem to do my best by tinkering when i am in the creative mood and not stressed out from life stuff. So it's hard to say how long really. Plus i didn't have a pre-made idea or sketch to work from. When i go in an tinker, i just mess around with stuff as ideas come to me.
How did you get the chairs? Very nice build!
All i had was a reference photo of someone else who made them in one of their builds. I just tried to replicate as best i could. Major pita. Still tweaking them so they feel and look the right size and height.
also, you need Defense cannons and PDC's on the belly too, cant have ISIS come up from below you!

That is a great idea. I can move it by using the Satisfactory Calculator website interactive map feature.
I moved it to the desert and I definitely like it but even in 1.0 the desert has some spots with lower FPS. Mostly when looking to the South/South West but not as bad as it was in 8.3
The real issue is how am i going to build something that interacts with the ground factories, wells etc. I want to keep the aesthetic i have going. I was thinking maybe a docking station of sorts but I am not sure yet. I do have drone stations but they can only do so much.
build ship holders, will require a lot of vertical to horizontal to vertical etc belts but you can pull it off

Docking station is a good idea. Seems rational that the ship could dock in atmo the same way it would in space.
Make a deathstar, then belt through the laser. Does still leave you with a deathstar without access

Just a quick update on the tank. Yes i still have the tank and the same large Pleco. Currently I am refinishing our basement and building the tank in to the wall. When i am done i will post an update video. Questions i get most often: 1. Why doesn't your pleco up-root all the plants. Some of the smaller, less rooted ones he does. But he is not an active plant eater or destroyer. Partly cause I hand feed him regularly and because the plants are very well rooted with off shoots intertwined with others in the sand bed. 2. Why do you have predatory fish in with the others, wont they eat them. Long story short. I needed a place to put them after my African tank crashed. Also keeping your fish well fed will lesson the likelihood they will eat other fish. Plus with some i just got lucky i guess. 3. What kind of Bichir is that? It is an Ornate Bichir. The other fish that is all black and wavy underside is a Black Knife Fish 4. Do you still have all these fish after 7 years? I still have the large pleco and Knife fish. Just recently lost the Rainbow shark (red fins) and i still have a variety of tetra's. The African leaf fish and the African jewelfish and the Ornate Bichir were all moved to a new tank and eventually found a new home with another fish aquarium hobbyist. The glass catfish eventually passed away.
I know its a bit rough with the breathing animation. However this is my first attempt at taking a 2D image and trying to replicate actual movement.
