Paramo A-one vintage vise restoration
I picked up this rusted vise for my shop as it looked pretty cool.
After doing some research on it. I found out that Paramo vises were produced in the 1940's around World War Two after the Record vise factory was bombed. They were made by a known Sheffield manufacturer, Paramore and family. its a very solid and well built vise.

Another classic to share with you! Took my dad for a city flight when he visited Toronto back in 2013. I was lucky to have this chief flight instructor teach me when learning to fly, he was very calm and professional. Cheers Nirvan M Gosein
Cessna 150 flight with passenger window open

Flying in Canada was an amazing experience! My brother took a trip to visit me back in 2013 when I just got my PPL. I took him up for a flight and he got to open the window during flight. With the way things are going right now in the world, due to this pandemic, we really got to cherish these memories. I decided to share with you all to enjoy. Cheers Nirvan M Gosein

A Drive to Asa Wright 2014

Surviving a night alone in the Canadian Wilderness
Переглядів 704 роки тому
This was filmed back in fall 2013. It was part of a survival training exercise where I had to survive with what was on hand. Basically I started in the morning, preparing for the night ahead until help arrived the next morning. The sounds of wolves nearby and not knowing if if you were being stalked by a bear was not cool. I am glad I made it out alive!

    These are ok but I find the smaller lid becomes really tight and hard to do up/undo again. The plastic seems to expand or something. A right pain! No leaks though

      I found this issue to be worse in hotter days, I leave the cap slightly loose so the gas can escape, not something I'd recommend doing near an ignition source.

    I use a beaker, I mix 80 ml or 2.6 fl oz with a gallon of fuel. That looks much more fun and convenient though.

      @@nirvanmgosein6505 Thank you for the reply! I like to try strange two stroke mixes. Right now I am running 32:1 with liquid cooled oil for my older Stihl stuff.

      @viperstrike3827 2 роки тому

      @@nirvanmgosein6505 There is not much if any benefit. The liquid cooled oil burns at a lower temperature so it leaves less residue. If I ran Stihl oil at 32:1 it would smoke a lot, and clog everything up. I took off the muffler on my Stihl 025 after running the richer mixture, and it seemed like there was more oil on the piston. I would not run 32:1 in a machine with no high side adjustment, because it can lean out the mixture by a small amount.

      @nirvanmgosein6505 2 роки тому

      @@viperstrike3827 I use the 50:1 mixing ratio for my machines. Yes 32:1 will definitely be too much oil in the mixture causing the issues mentioned 👍

    Thankyou, I will be buying some of these now, probably the most accurate fuel mixing bottle out there. I only get through two litres of petrol 2 stroke mix in a month so 2 of these is ideal for me. I'll buy a third for backup though.

    Fuel marks on that bottles are very tricky! My instrument needs ratio 1 : 33 (1000 ml + 30 ml), I use syringe for oil dosing. So I filled into bottle exactly 1000 ml (to know level for UNMIXED petrol). And that level was right on the mark "1 : 50". For 500 ml the same thing...
