    This is Delicious Revelations of a living Saint in our Western culture, Ringo is as close to an ICON as Buddah... his Definitive uniqness and natural genius could never ever be equalled... seriously Ringo is the Backbone of the corpse that we know of as THE BEATLES... his unmistakable matrix and mastery of the BEAT made the band what it became, never underestimate RINGO... EVER... God bless the dead, God save the living... lanceforrestx.blogspot.com/ blessings in abundance if you catch my drift...

    If I were you (whoever it is that owns this video) I'd edit out the drug refrence, the one in particular where Ringo jokes about how they helped him play better. I can tell ya for a fact tht young kids who want to be Ringo / rock drummer, WILL run with it. I'm sure this wasn't Ringos intention, he was talking to an audience of adults, but to those who put ths on -line, a simple split second mute would maybe do a lot of good. When I was a kid during their formative years, I know 4 guys, just off the top of my head, who heard that Ginger Baker, Chralie and so on all did some unhealthy and dangerous things prior to taking the stage. A few of these guys did take it to heart. Not good.

    Sir Ringo is the correct way to introduce him ✌️🫡, ( tuned in from Liverpool UK . My grandad ( born 1912 , became a labourer on the Liverpool Dockland's ,. I remember through local history about the " mend and make do era ". I couldn't understand about why Liverpool Ford workers were unable to secure employment on The Liverpool Docklands. Born in the 1960s , I and my late sister would play Albums on the old 78, 33, 45 suitcase style record player . Back then .. I was into jimi hendrix, while my sister was into the bay city rollers ✌️ * They Where The Good Old Day's * 🫡 ( 'A Cup of Tea'.. You Only Get An Ooo With Typhoo 😂 ) (hey, im english 🫡

    It's interesting that the Beatles had hired through Epstein, different sound people at each of their gigs, and there were only two shows that rose to the occasion, the better of them being their show in Atlanta. The guy that ran sound had actually been doing it for a while, with several bands in the area using his many sound systems, and hiring his people for basic mixing. He was very serious about the craft of sound, so when The Beatles came in, he actually hired several other large sound systems, as well as built larger pa boxes to combine and spent days getting them to perform at their maximum... given the large space they were trying to fill. He also used a tape delay and made sure that the stadium sound was only employed at the furthest end, and with the proper time delay, to conpensate for the great distance. He also postulated that The Beatles could not possibly hear themselves with all of the screaming fans unless they had what was Known as foldback monitors, which he had employed at larger shows, And he was using Shure microphones with Unidirectional cardoid patterns, Which he also knew could be used to great advantages. If you put the vocal foldback monitors off to the side at 45° angles... the monitors would be audible, but at that angle they would be rejected by the mics that wouldn’t hear off axis. 45 degrees meant that the sound of the foldback wasn’t reflected off the singers faces and into the mic, as would happen if they were directly in front. By doing this, he was able to give The Beatles something they had never had, The ability to hear themselves live on the stage. After the show, Brian Epstein said to the man that his was far and away the best sound that had had... He tried to talk the man into going the rest of the tour with them, but he turned them down because he had his own jobs to do there in Atlanta. I'd like to think that if he were to actually stick it out and become there. American sound man that the beatles probably wouldn't have stopped playing live!

    Being huge in Sweden was no small thing. The audience was more familiar with American music than any other country in the West and therefore very discerning and sophisticated. Several bands, artists and film companies chose Sweden as a testing ground and still do so.

    Ringo embellished some stories. He claims he turned the non revolving stage himself in a Concert. The video shows a stage hand doing it. Next he claims he enjoyed his trip to India. It was well known he left the trip early because he really wasn't into the scene. I didn't watch much more.

    The title of this video is very confusing and also contains bad grammar. I hate to come off like a grammar Nazi but I cannot let this one slide. But more importantly the video name appears to contain a falsity. Firstly, why is "Liverpool08" in the title? We know Ringo is from Liverpool. Is Dave Stewart a Liverpudlian? Did the interview take place in Liverpool in 2008? What is the reference to Liverpool for? That should be made clear in the title. "2008 Interview with Ringo Starr by Dave Stewart" would've sufficed nicely, if that's all the title is trying to convey. Is the interview "with" Ringo Starr or "with" Dave Stewart?? Also, if something is "off the record" then... "IT SHOULD NOT BE PUBLICLY REPORTED." Therefore since this is being reported in a public place like UA-cam, I believe that part of the video title (description) is actually untrue. Say what you will about my bad grammar, this video title is much worse.

    They were a tight, fun band early on. Most of their set was covers. They played a couple of their own songs. When George Martin took them on, he said they were basic players and with no sign of any song writing talent.

    They made 1400 gigs up until 1966! How did they find time to write new songs and record new albums? And rest??

    • @GT380man
      @GT380man Рік тому

      They didn’t. It’s a shock but there’s no doubt they wrote very little of their own songs. There wasn’t time & they weren’t very good at it. The much greater shock is that they didn’t play on their studio albums either, contributing only vocals, certainly up to & including Rubber Soul. There was a dramatic change from 1966. You either know or you won’t believe it.

    well we all love Ringo (I mean the good people do and even some of the bad ones do) Myself, in my locality in the uk ive been looking for a fantastic drummer for a long long time now who could do percussion in the same way George Harrison played guitar (That's a tall order), and ive met many fantastic drummers online, but they either do not know how to record themselves in a daw environment, and the ones that do still lack between the raw physical contact that is needed when people are jamming in the same room.(Thats where the magic happens)...Todays date as i write this comment is August 23rd 2023, go back about three months, Im moving out of my old house (That house has a massive musical connection going back in time) as i left that house for the last time and walked out of my front door i was immediacy faced with my old friend spence that id not seen since 2006 when we literally walked/collided into each other (Spence is an old analogue mixing engineer that ive known since 1987) Eventually after the euphoria he takes me to his lady friends house who lives about 12 doors away from me and introduces me to her (Alex) Alex is about 40 years old, partially autistic, Very esoteric, extremely spiritual, constantly looking for answers and has the humility of a child and the energy and passion of a lioness...August 22nd 2023..I ends up moving back into my old house that i spoke about at the start of this comment, so i bangs on alex's door tonight and says, hey im moving back into this street and something about i dont want to explain how that happened right now, A cup of English tea latter and her reading me several of her poems i noticed she had several hand drums in her enchanted living room, I asked, do you play them? she replied yes and grabbed one, then she fired up a backing track that had zero click track and played just one drum like one of the goddesses, I was completely blown away by what she played, it was almost as if she was suspending/freezing time (The gift) I asked her can she play a full drum kit? And her reply basically told me that, yes, and that it as much easier for her to play a full drum kit. Conclusion, she is an artist of the highest order, and im an artist too, she knows nothing about audio engineering and i know just a little and enough to work with her and capture something absolutely magical in the very near future, its the same Equation as the Beatles, inc ringo, its the unknown factor, but once in a lifetime all the right ingredients all fall into place at the right time, myself im now 60 years old, but im not going to let that put me off, Dr. Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin quite a few years after he had been put out to pasture by ones who considered him to be to old to add anything meaningful to life's equation, its the same with everything inc music. Hope everyone's doing great around here

    George / Ringo. "Concert for Bangladesh " . A realization that music could have a real impact. "It Don't Come Easy", but he was a big part of the first attempt at real world impact, of Rock N Roll.
