I’m a straight man and honestly I’m hooked. The graphics, aesthetic, and world building are really good. The female MC is attractive and surprisingly she’s the main playable character not the men unlike the many waifu games out there where the male is just behind the screen while you control the waifus during combat. I wonder if their target audience; the women, would have much preferred playing as the guys during combat. Story is interesting, I think it picks up during ch4, where we have sort of a Marian from Nikke situation with Caleb. Would’ve been interesting to make ch4 the initial hook like what Nikke did with what happened to Marian in the tutorial stage. In terms of the whole stigma of questioning one’s sexuality as a male playing this, I think it depends on how you look at games. For me even with waifu games, I am NOT the character and the waifus or husbandos are NOT mine. I always look at everything from a third (or fourth?) person perspective. You have an MC that you control where you explore the game’s lore and watch your boy (or girl) get some action if any. Whether it’s 1st person or 3rd person the MC is always separate. Seeing the girl’s hands, body parts, and hearing her voice during interactions kind of solidifies that separation. That said it does take me out of things when sometimes the MC girl’s dialogue is not voiced. It’s a weird inconsistency in this game. The game does fulfill something that isn’t commonly portrayed in games though, having multiple romance options in an ARPG tailored to a female protagonist. Overall though the game’s structure is really nice. The minigames are actually fun. The combat is interesting. The interactions with your MC’s love interests are very cool, creative, and varied. I probably wouldn’t go so far to spend money unless there’s a female combat outfit I really like which is more fanservice to me as a man having an attractive female character versus the memory fanservices and male partner outfits geared towards the women.

I ended up downloading it because I found out it came out, altho honestly I thought it had a few months out already, also how didn't they advertise their Nekopara collab, Nobel from Lost Pause might be playing it right now, he loves Nekopara, that would be a perfect sponsor stream.

The only difference is the vip system, most gachas have predatory monetization, you say you have played many games, clearly not enough, I have been dolphin in many many games and this one resembles the digimon digital chaos and the saint seiya awakening systems, it's not the best but also not new. Besides that you didn't even take 2 minutes to read the instructions of the game, you can raise the mood of the cafe workers with affection and it's pretty easy, you should not have 250 mood workers 😂😂 it's not like afk journey's affection that takes forever, players in other games wish they could get as many summons as here, in epic seven it used to be a nightmare, it' probably still is and the same goes for most gachas. I find it funny how clueless people just go around complaining without actually learning the games they complain about first.
