    In the beginning you said you paid for the antenna and in the end you say your partnered with Cowfish with a dis. Code . So don’t believe your results

    • @BrandiscapeAdventures
      @BrandiscapeAdventures День тому

      That is correct. We purchased the Vantenna ourselves at full price, and installed to confirm that it would improve our tv reception which it did greatly, while our request and approval to partner with them was in progress, then approved with the supplied discount code just prior to finishing the video to ensure accurate and honest information was included. This video would have still been on UA-cam if the partner approval was denied. Thanks for your comment.

      @ When in rural areas and those communities we like to see the local news, weather and whats happening around that area, without seeing the big city tv rubbish, but thats just us. The Cowfish Vantenna has been a massive improvement for our normal tv reception and cant fault it.

    They’re simply no better than a Winegard that is in good condition but a lot more expensive. Though their 5G router is awesome.

    • @BrandiscapeAdventures
      @BrandiscapeAdventures 3 дні тому

      They are around the same price as the wineguard retro fit, so NO more expensive, and actually cost LESS if installing a whole new wineguard system. The benefit of the Vantenna is that there is no winding the antenna up and pointing it in the right direction, compared to the vantenna that receives signal from 360 degrees for improved reception, and frees up space on the roof for solar.

    your main issue is you are dealing with anatenna cabve single or double shield cable which is adequate ror analog use sadly with the reality of digital transmission rg6 or better you may need to ground your antenna

    • @BrandiscapeAdventures
      @BrandiscapeAdventures 4 дні тому

      Thanks for your comment and information mate. Our reception has improved massively with the vantenna installation, using the original cable in the ceiling space without replacing, but it think it will be even better once i replace that cable with the RG6 75ohm cable that came with the vantenna kit. Not sure if the vantenna needs to be grounded...or if it is grounded through the coax??

    Thanks for all the great info! I've been tent camping for years and just getting too old for the whole dragging everything out and setting up thing, so turning the Rav4 into a car camper. She's no bush basher, but looks like there were a few great options for me to trial on your list. Had to comment to say that I've camped at Wivenhoe for decades, and you'll not regret it. Beautiful spot. Caravans stay at the Lumley Hill campground, and I've always tented at the Captain Logan, but they're pretty much the same place. Can't comment on the fishing though.

      Thanks for your great comment, and we hope you get to enjoy some of these spots as we did. The RAV will get to most places easy when its dry, just watch out for wet weather if out anywhere in black soil country. Thanks for the info on Wivenhoe, hoping to get out there in the next few months. The fish is a bonus anyway...just being there is the best part. Good luck on your adventures 🚙😁

    Sorry mate, no one gives a rats about TV reception on the road anymore. Folks now have Starlink, we can watch free to air on Starlink, not that anyone actually watches that anyway, biased reporting on sreroids. We watch anything and everything we want to without all that dodgey reception issues, finding towers, horizontal and vertical polorisation, it is a god dam nightmare. Great info though...thanks

      We have Starlink and use it most of the time, but like i said in the vid we like to get the local news and weather from the local area we are in like rural towns and away from the cities which is only available through normal tv. Not everyone can afford Starlink and assume a majority of travellers only have normal tv which this vid was made to help out and improve reception.

      G'day Craig, thanks for your comment mate. Yarramalong Weir is a free camp with no bookings and is first in first served with 72 hr stay. It is close to Pampas near Millmerran and is listed on wiki camps if you have it, and also on google maps if you zoom in on the river just south of Pampas. Its a great spot but can get a bit crowded on long weekends. Another great spot and possibly better is the Cecil Plains Homestead and is right on the river in a private campground for around $10/night. It is covered in the other videos of our Condamine river adventure if you have seen them yet. Hope this helps and hope you get out there and enjoy.

      @@BrandiscapeAdventures No worries, Thank you, When they made our family favorite spots in Aus, Double Island Point and Frazer both NPs We went north in the 80s looking for the freedom we lost around home and found it, up the Cape, Dad went up in the 50s to check it out for croc hunting but never did it, He loved it he went back in the 80s, I been up 21 times in 40 odd years Many of our favorite spots up there are shut or NPs now to, But lucky where I go penne is TO owned and still open and free, as you know its a awesome area, love your channel honest and no BS.

      @@craigtomkinson2837 Thanks Craig. The Cape is a special place for me and been up there many times aswell. We used to camp and fish at False Pera Head and Vryilla Point back before they were closed for mining or just closed to the public. Lots of amazing spots up there but getting very busy these days.

      @@BrandiscapeAdventures Ok lovely stuff, We loved Vryilla to was awesome there fishing the reefs for good red Emperor and mixed reef fish and the Cotrell and the two cristal creeks for river fish and mud crabs, Just got on to Norman creek and the perra area a few years ago and but it got locked to my dad camped there and did not like and it was shut before i got to check it out, , We loved Captain Billies landing the reef fishing out around Hannibal island was awesome, and the crays to. Our average trip up the cape in the 80s , 90, 2000s was 3 to 4 months camping at a few different spots

      Thanks Mate. Love the Gary Howard Greenback rod, good for casting and when the fish have a bit of size. I do prefer the SynderGlas though when the fish are smaller or a bit touchy on the bite.

    Hi Brad. Great idea for the water fill. What I do on any clipon fittings is put a blanked off hose fitting. I fill them with Silastic.

    Hi Brad. To respond to how to clean the mosquito mesh in the windows. I use a firm dry sponge, like the ones used for car washing, on both sides and then I spray the sponge with some sort of detergent and after it dries off it usually is fine. Then of course the blower can be helpful as well if required. Cheers

      Thankyou for your comment and great question. I did have the ends painted and sealed on the old hilux but havent got around to it yet since i cut it down to fit the dmax. You can see some damage in one of the shots....white ants got into it while stored in the shed so will be fixing and sealing. We will drop in and say g'day the next time we are on the island.
