Yes, she's the one. A lot of listeners thought that it was Edwin. But it was not. It was Dorothy Combs Morrison. According to some recordings that I have seen, Shirley Miller also sang lead on a few occasions.

Ms. Morrison is 80 years old now, so her voice is obviously not what it was when she was in her 20s singing with Edwin Hawkins. I think she still sounds wonderful.

No, you’re INCORRECT- She is the ORIGINAL “Lead Singer” of the original recording by Edwin Hawkins. You may have a version in Nigeria BUT, it’s NOT the one I’m referring to and it’s definitely not the one composed by Maestro Edwin Hawkins.
