Thank you. Your video is great! My client pays more than is required for her mortgage. The mortgage company puts the excess funds in an Unapplied Funds account. The funds are held until there is enought for a full payment. How would I record that in Quickbooks? I am assuming it would be a separate account in the COA for Unapplied Funds. If so would it be an expense?

Hello, I am wondering if you have a method you use to invoice the same person with multiple properties? They want only 1 invoice per property, I currently just keep a running invoice (we bill monthly) for each property under the same customer. The top line of the invoice I select the first day of the month as the date, then in the description box the name of the property. I then fill out remainder of the invoice lines with proper date and services for that unit. Is there a more efficient method you use in a case like this?

Hi! If you can help that would be awesome! I realized I have entered in the lease payments for our truck for the past 2 years incorrectly. I have been added them as an expense the account that it was under was 'Fixed Asset' which I know is incorrect. What do I do in this case to fix my books? Do I just add the amount as a notes payable and then revert the last 2 years of the payments to that account. Notes: the payments were made towards the Fixed Asset account which has now been increasing which is not good. Please help!

Where is the depreciation split account tab?

Here is part two in how to set up and add customers in QuickBooks Online. Don't forget to use my QBO link in the description box if you are a new business or switching over to QuickBooks Online from desktop or another accounting software. That link will give you a discount for your first 6 months!

Since QBO switched from the old Melio system for scheduling online payments to their new platform, we have encountered significant difficulties in paying vendors and managing bill payments with the same level of flexibility. Previously, we could manage multiple bills with different due dates for the same vendor easily. The system allowed automatic payments based on due dates, or we could select the withdrawal date to better manage our cash flow. Now, we must manually change each due date individually. This involves clicking on each bill, opening another window, and making the change. This process is cumbersome and far from user-friendly. Moreover, the "Faster Payment" option, for which we pay an extra fee, is not faster at all. It takes three business days or more, with no option for same-day or next-day deposits. Under the Melio system, we could choose next-day payments or same-day delivery if scheduled before 12 pm. Additionally, we are now charged an extra subscription fee for this subpar bill pay service from QBO.
