Am I the only one outraged for the fact they did just a little redo of animation and models, when we have a "REMASTERED" edition where they remastered nothing, just added chinese gods and a wish copy of other units with a chinese skin on, and then this remastered shit it's sold as a "NEW" game, and there are another 25 random euros for the same game. I love AOM, but this economic shit is just microsoft milking us and giveing nothing in return.
Well i don't totally disagree with you at this point i mean yeah the amount of money they're asking in the name of premium and giving us just some redone models and redone graphics without adding much to it is something we cannot totally ignore! but again there are people out there who will purchase it anyway in the name of love or nostalgia or whatever just so to make ourselves happy including myself also. I hope they've done more on the game than they've showed us and catch us off-guard with surprise 😅

I think that it is cool that they've modernized it, but I am not a huge fan of the fact that they've gone with a stylized art style instead of keeping to the original direction which aimed to look more realistic... Also, myth units can now also get the bronze armor?
Well I don't have any complaints with the bronze armour but yeah the art style should reflect ancientness unlike the other AOE games

Not true, i was playing aom recently and Arcantos for sure wasn't looking this bad, maybe with the lowest graphics settings

As a big RTS fan with every AOE and C&C game ever made (including AoM Extended), I can't wait for this game to be released. Looks great and a HUGE graphical improvement over the original AoM!
Yup! besides a few not so good rebuffs the overall experience should be worth the wait!
Along with what has already been said about the voice acting, I also sincerely hope that this isn't the final design for the UI. Why do so many games now go for this featureless, mobile game-y aesthetic, complete with generic sans-serif font, that's just so bland and soulless? The original had character and incorporated designs that fit both the civilization you were playing and the historical setting. This style just looks so 'corporate' for lack of a better word and really ruins the immersion for me.
Hope they do justice to our love and patience for all these years and also to their work and efforts

You know what I hate about aoe remakes? The units. They are too small, sometimes, they look too similar for example in ao2 or the remake of ao1. The older versions of the aoe series were fun since you could easily distinguish units from one another on the battlefield. On the newer versions they are a mess and I m afraid this will also happen with the remake of age of mythology.
Yes I guess some of the human units might look similar but still there will be noticeable differences for us to distinguish them visually
