Know This Before You Buy Legend Suspension
Suspension is arguably one of the first upgrades we should make on our bikes. Having used Legend Suspensions on a couple of bikes, there is some helpful information that I think you should know before pulling the trigger on your purchase.

Why the Harley Davidson Detachable Wind Splitter is ALMOST perfect
Rev, sure wish I could have made that trip with ya !
@@charleschavarie6445 me too! We’ll have to get back up here. It’s a very cool area!
Been there
Probably this was to stop you from getting in an accident and caught in the storm. Good always comes out of bad.
@@kellyknaack3939 totally agree!
my road trip is 550 miles one way, one day. I do it every year. I am over 60 years old (66 this years trip). Still loving it and look forward to it every year.
@@3dphillo396 love it!
Yes that is my teachings to my kids that look to better side of bad luck and change your perspective and we can find comfort in simplicity also. Don't rush

@@robertosaa3 thank you, my friend!
Oh nooo 😱

Enjoyed the video. If you're ever in the Lake James area up near Marion and Morganton, give us a shout, maybe do some collaboration on some videos as McDowell County has built a nice campground and facilities, we're looking forward to hitting it after Daytona Bike Week.
@@TheV-TwinFoodies absolutely! I grew up West of Asheville so I travel between here and there often! I would love to catch up sometime! We are working on launching a podcast as part of our channel. Maybe we can do an episode together at some point!
Great video, I'll be subscriber #315! I have the same habit on last day of rushing home!
@@tennyis28 thanks for stopping in and subscribing! We’re just getting started with this UA-cam thing, but learning and growing as we go! I don’t know where I picked up the habit of wanting to leave on the last day of vacation, but it’s one I’m trying really hard to break! lol
Great video Rev. Looking forward to doing some moto camping as soon as we get some warmer weather. Stay safe.
@@rkb3573 thank you, my friend! I’m looking forward to some more moto camping adventures this year!

@@vtwinpower1903 That sounds like a handful! I’m gonna have to see some video of that monster!
Enjoyed your info on legend suspension which I have on my 2019 streetglide which I am very happy with. Just some additional info ; the adjustment on legend rear shocks are aluminum & aluminum threads are prone to galling. So what have done with mine is apply some white grease onto the threads & this works great I have not had any issues with adjustment. I also use thread chasers on various bolts & threads on my harley-davidson. They are none intrusive & do an excellent job of removing dried thread loctite . Enjoy.
@@BradFitzsimmons-hk6ew this is excellent info! Thank you so very much for sharing!

I have a 2018 Road King Special and my first mod was a windshield. I wanted the windsplitter but didn’t want the chrome brackets. I ended up with a 16” Freedom shield with black Amazon brackets that fit perfectly. If I had to do it over again I would have gotten a 18” shield ,I’m 5’9 and believe it would have been better for me.
I labored over this decision for literal months. I did consider the Freedom Shield. Super nice folks and very helpful. I just loved the look of the Windsplitter a bit more. I believe Freedom Shields would be the way I went if the Windsplitter wasn’t an option!
I agree with you the splitter is what I wanted. I just came across your channel and subscribed, I’m a fellow NC rider out of Durham and also involved in ministry.Maybe someday we will run across each other and go for a ride.
@ thank you for subscribing! Would love to cross paths sometime!
I love my legends
Me too! I had the front cartridges on my last bike. I’m trying to decide if I want to do them on the Road King as well.
I did my Freedom for the open road

Road kings always came with windshields. Harley took the passing lamps and windshield off, called it special and raised the Price. 😂

Not gonna lie brother, i think if you do more of these motocamping videos and fine tune your setup, I see your channel growing at a pretty good pace. I kind of have a similar plan for the future.
@@MisfitGamingOfficial I appreciate that! I’m continuing to learn, improve and most of all, having fun! We’ll keep em coming!

@ClaireBoone-i6m of course! That is what being community is all about!
Appreciate it!
That was a huge waste of money buying the stage 2 Harley audio kit. There are several audio speakers that are compatible with these bikes and they are LOUD!! Volunteer Audio is the best in the business for Harley audio
@@Jeffmd2020 hahah. Good news is it wasn’t my money. My buddy who bought it had a ton of money in Soundz audio on his last bike. He’s happy with this upgrade for now. I ride a Road King so have no need for any of it!
Cutest asteroid in the world😭
Love your garage
@@charleschavarie6445 thank you! One of my most favorite rooms in the house! 😜
Does anyone know if upgrading just the speakers to a better quality speaker would make much of a difference? I had a 2016 Cross Country Tour and upgraded the speakers to Alpines and made a huge improvement
I can tell you in my 2014 Ultra I upgraded to 6.5 Hertz speakers and I do not even need an amp. The hertz speakers are seriously night and day difference. When I was told how much better I was told they would sound I did everything but call BS to Volunteer Audio tech support. They were 💯 on the money
WOW! That's Awesome! So I can just add Hertz speakers to my 2024 Street Glide fairing? And much better sound quality and volume also?
@@michaelroy925 with only 2 speakers i can't say you won't need an amp, but I did not need one with my 2014 Ultra and I wear full face helmet. Easy to hear at 80mph, I'm almost 60 and don't hear like a 20 year old lol.
Damn! That's definitely something I would be interested in doing. Much cheaper and easier than adding an amp also.
Thank You 😎
Amen to the RKS. 2020 in my stable. After 25 years on the faring bikes I gave them up because of all the silly tech. All the tech I need is my speedo. Keep it simple. Enjoy the ride. Oh, and I have a WindSplitter. I love it. I made some mounting tabs that allow me to adjust the shield fore and aft about 5 degrees off center and also serves the secure the shield to the bike. These shields lean back pretty good. Moving it forward raises "the bubble" reducing wind on the top of your helmet and provides room to move your bars forward. ua-cam.com/video/qZ_ItSNYo7g/v-deo.html
@@allwrong3114 I agree with you 100%! I would love to know more about your brackets. Sounds like an awesome setup!
@@RevMotoNC ua-cam.com/video/qZ_ItSNYo7g/v-deo.html The rubber bumpers that isolate the shield from the bracket have been replaced with thicker bumpers to further standoff the shield from the bracket.
So the Rockford amp also needs a flash? I bought one but the speakers don’t work with it. I have hertz on mine. I’m wondering if I have to take it to dealership to flash it. TIA
@@VeenOnWheels we saw mixed answers on that. In fact, one dealership said it needed a flash, the other one in our area said it didn’t LoL ultimately, it’s my buddies bike so I let him make the call and he opted to have it flashed.
Great clear camera quality - Long way to ride from the UK though 🙂
@@daveperks6108 Thank you, my friend! I was over in the UK in October and wanted my bike the entire time! HaHaHa

@@scottmagnuson7539 it was a stellar time for sure!
