@ with my lithium battery I can do probably 8-10 hours. I’ve never actually fully depleted the battery before. I’ve fished for 4 hours and it still had 60% battery

@@japapelili it helps to be stationary but it’ll work perfectly fine while moving too which is mostly how I use it. Some people use perspective mode to scout fish while moving too. You don’t need to have spotlock unless you’re in super deep water. I usually anchor or just drift if I’m targeting fish that stick to underwater structure like crappie.

@@sunsetfishingandoutdoors3702 I’d recommend the 10 ft for sure if you can easily transport it. I personally wasn’t able to carry the 10 ft comfortably which is why i had to get the 8 ft. I believe the 10 ft comes with 2 seats too! If you’re going to be consistently fishing with 2 people, it’s best you invest in the 10 ft. The 8 ft is perfect for 1 person but it does feel crowded for 2 people if you fish for long periods. You can get away comfortably with the 8 ft if it isn’t 2 large adults. If its 2 large adults, you’d want the 10 ft

Reel was a little bulky. But it matches the rod fine. Color and size. Cast distance was improved by 10-ish yards. Handled surf fishing well but this reel isn't fully sealed so be careful not to dunk it.

open your tailgate or trunk and look over your shoulder, makes it super easy to back up if you can see the trailer fully

@@larsvegas1505 Jon boats are definitely a great option. Durable and versatile. My only problem is the stability and I think that’s the biggest factor for me or I’d have gone with a flat bottom boat

@@JohnFishingOfficial I do sit down fishing most of the time.. but i can stand also on the 12ft.. esp if u have some stuff on there.. A pond prowler isnt any more stable then a jon.. its even smaller in with.. (my buddy used to have one we used it a lot before i got a jon.. (jon is also lighter and easier to carry into spots.)

@@larsvegas1505 I’ve been in both types and imo it’s a lot more secure being in these pontoon style boats. It’s more efficient at dealing with wakes and long-term seating comfort out of the box. It was also easier to transport in my case because the prowler is much shorter (8 ft). These fit a lot more snuggly into my short bed truck. In my initial case, anything 10ft or over would’ve been hard to handle. I love jon boats but they wouldn’t have worked for me unfortunately. People will have difference of opinions according to their own needs. In my case, the prowler made more sense. And as I assume, your jon boat was more efficient for you 👍

@@JohnFishingOfficial Yess wel im european so we dont have gas guzzling trucks.. i have a normal car and a trailer.. also i have seperate seats that i just throw in the boat.. that way u dont have to be in 1 spot.. or can fish without seats.. but a jon is plenty stable.. a 12 foot is atleast... pond prawler just a bit too small for my fishing..

@@donho6856 it’s unflippable. Though, you may have to adjust according to how big the wakes are. You wouldn’t be able to stand in the boat with huge wakes but you’ll be fine sitting down.

Haven't used those lucky craft lures myself yet but if they're similar to the Rapala Rap-x lures then this 8 ft version will be sufficient. I use the long-cast lures that is between 1-2oz and they cast pretty well I also have the 10 ft Daiwa EMCAST too but it feels a bit too stiff to throw these lighter lures under 1 oz

Nice. Great boat! I’m trolling 3 inch paddle tail swimbaits. Just typical white ones that you can get at Walmart. I’m using some super cheap Amazon umbrella rigs for like $7 each and they work just as well as my more expensive umbrella rigs

I just cut down a old tolling motor.. used the whole thing.. (cut the motor off and removed the insides.. the trolling motor pole is nice and strong..
