I had to plead guilty on a domestic battery that I didn’t do but my ex did hit me and yet I went to jail was in a week and told if I plead guilty I can go home today if not I sit for a month till my next court date

This had zero effect on the 'real' judicial and parole board system. They don't care. Human lives are processed, and the worst thing the person being processed can do is to stand up and speak. The horror of, "the best system of justice ever devised."

Under the current system meeting quota is the foremost goal. The police lie regularly and extensively. Innocent people are coerced and maneuvered by under paid over worked public defendeds who see them for less than an hour into plee deals. By so doing the poor lose their jobs, homes, children and partners. When you get out your job search becomes all the harder often times manuvering you into actual criminality out of neccessity.
