Hank the Scorpion-Bot’s final battle at the Great Western Brick Show in Swindon, UK.
I think you'll have a hard time later when you move both legs on side first, rather than one-by-one, like a horse, or any other animal for that reason.
This is great, definitely something you might watch on the holonet
Thanks! I have had a lot of interest from folks that build Star Wars themed rooms. Apparently, it’s a popular choice to have on the screen in a cantina.
Great video! Really hope more of the series will come
This is awesome
Thanks!
I love this video! You need to do more of these
Thanks! I do have another short script I’d like to produce, but I have several projects ahead of it. Please be patient!
@@goosh-la-goo yeah, no worries!
can somebody explains why demera wins? I'm still confused.
Her hand is the highest value at the table according to Galaxy Series rules. Some rulesets have different hierarchies. The galaxy Series rules use true odds to generate the hand order. You should use the hand hierarchy you like best. 148.72.42.20:8080/Sabacc/Sabacc_hand_hierarchy.html 148.72.42.20:8080/Sabacc/Sabacc_probability_calculator.html
Demera is my kind of scum.
The rules of this version of Sabacc are different than the rules. I learned originally, but it seems to be a more balanced game with further options to draw from the deck for a higher cost. My friend and I were at work shopping house rules for variance of the original Sabacc game, and came up with a similar rule, but I like this one more.
Thanks! I’d say the only issue we’ve run into with these rules is that it can be a bit complex for people new to the game. And much like the original, the hierarchy can be tough to remember. We usually keep a cheat sheet handy.
lol this definitely deserves more views and you definitely deserve more subs!
Either they changed the order of winning hands for the Galaxy Series compared to Corellian Spike, or I'm just confused but I think Sekel actually has the worst hand out the 4 of them.
The hand hierarchy has been recalculated using true odds. Having all three “3s” in the deck along with a balancing card would be quite rare. 148.72.42.20:8080/Sabacc/Sabacc_hand_hierarchy.html
Many players like the original hand hierarchy because it has hands that are nearly impossible, but fall low on the list and some fairly easy hands (Yee Haa!) that are quite high on the list. It allows experienced players to sucker new players. The best version of Sabacc is the version you like.
@goosh-la-goo thank you so much for the explanation. Great video by the way.
I like the video 😂 very cool, whats the name of this Sabacc version?
We’re calling it the “Galaxy Series” variant. Full rules and hand hierarchy at www.galaxyseriessabacc.com
Please make more of these. Excellent editing and play. Would watch hours of this 10/10
Please make more vids like this!
That was a lot of fun!
Clear instructions and entertaining as well!
Have you tried it to where the longer a card has been out it gets more expensive? Curious if that would be better than the random card that’s flipped costing the most.
Yes. The longer a card has been out, the more it costs. I haven’t watched this in a while, but I thought that was the way I’d explained it. Our group should have a new tutorial video out by year’s end.
Just came across your video! I was looking forward to testing your probability simulator, but it looks like the website is down. :(
I noticed that too. I’m not sure why. I’ll see what I can figure out.
The server is in Russia! It’s been down for 2 weeks, so I moved the site to one of my personal domain servers. Try this: 148.72.42.20:8080/Sabacc/Sabacc_rules.html
Sabacc B)
I'm unsure if this was part of your modifications to the rules or not, but in the original rules for the game, a 2 card pair beats a 3 card sabacc despite them having more cards. This is because a pair always beats a sabacc with no special hands. Having more cards is simply a tie breaker when nobody has special hands but multiple people have 0. Edit: You also stated in the video that when comparing the YeeHas at 24:15 the one with the higher total would win. That also isn't true in the base rules. The original rules state that the YeeHa with the lowest pair wins.
(response to edit) 34:08 - He mentioned at the beginning of the video 3:34 that modified it so that the person with a matching suites sabacc trumps the person with a mixed suites sabacc. And in the example at 24:15 he is comparing a mixed suited hand of 3's verses a matching hand of 9's. (So the 9's would win in this example because they are matching suites, not because they are a higher total count) I mean that's basically implied with the matching pair thing in the rules but he just wanted to give those suites just a little more spice.
This is great! I think your version of the rules makes the game a lot more playable (and calculatable) than the other rules that are around. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you again for sharing and explaining the thought process! I disagree with two things about these rules: 1) Paying to draw a card - I don't think you should have to pay to take chance on a card. I feel like drawing a blind card can be more of a negative than a positive since you don't know what you are getting. 2) Paying to trade with the face up card or paying to take the face up card should cost the same - in both situations you know exactly how taking or trading the card is going to benefit you, so in a sense taking the action is of the same value to the person paying. I could be wrong though and would love to hear your thoughts, or your groups thoughts. It would be great if someone put together a discord or forum to discuss rule modifications!

As far as the card prices, it's one of those things that could be more of a house rules decision, like wild cards or ante amounts in poker. Everyone playing can just agree on card prices. I do like the idea of making card-buying simpler. Remembering what everything costs is a bit complex. One reason to make adding cards more expensive than trading them is that card count is a tiebreaker, so if you're looking at a non-special hand, investing the extra money in more cards has value.
Thanks for taking the time and sharing. Funny - I was tweaking Sabacc in a very similar way.
Maybe we should form a governing body to define rules and hand values.
Awesome! Thank you Very Much!. I have been trying to get a good set of rules that make the most sense and so far I have been liking yours the most. Keep up the good work.
Maybe we should form a governing body to define rules and hand values.
@@TumpTube It wouldn't be a governing body, but I understand what you're saying. What I fear is that classic sabacc would fall out of favor and popularity so perhaps such a group or guild could cover on both variants and come up with new variants at that.
Great robot, that must of taken a lot of work to design and build...
Just been through your older post, so yes a lot of work to get to the final build.. Great design.
Thanks! Looking back through the photos and videos on my phone, it looks like I started mid-November 2019.
