    Did Paul say ‘Bull and Bosch’ ?

    12:56, Nicholas at his most unoriginal, he starts complaining about his desperate situation and pulls a Kenneth Williams.and breaks down in tears while trying to lean on Kenneth, Derek calls the situation nauseating, and Nicholas says 'thats the next subject'. He cant go two seconds without some sort of pathetic and banal follow up comment.

    3:00:18 Oh, FFS. "Used to" is a special structure we use to talk about things in the past that are NO LONGER TRUE. Open any grammar book, you old fооl.

    1:19:30 As usual, Nicholas is wrong. You have one decision/one choice, between two alternatives/options.

  • @bobbyshaddoe3004
    @bobbyshaddoe3004 5 днів тому

    There is a very bizarre inconsistency with Nicholas' rulings. He states something unequivocally only to then not uphold it a few rounds later, never mind the next episode. Like with 'repetition', in the subject of The Voice of the People, the word people is on the card but when Derek challenged Clement for repetition of people. He allowed it cuz you can't repeat one word isolated from the title. Kenneth tries this very same thing during the round on Amusing the Baby when he tried to get Derek up on repeating amusing, but it's not allowed cuz it's on the card. For all the talk Nick gave about being fair to the rules and upholding and interpreting the rules, everything falls on whether or not HE agrees with the challenge. Which often creates all kinds of nonsense that can be either hilarious or just aggravating. As the years progressed, it did seem that Nicholas more often than not got decisions wrong or gave people 'the benefit.of the doubt' regardless of whether there was any doubt that someone had a correct challenge.

    Thanks 🙏 so much for this... I'm a deflated addict to the show. I adore our Nicolas and fell in love for the whole thing since I saw a recording at the age of fifteen with my English class...even met Kenneth Williams outside the theatre!

    It's nice to hear these shows after only knowing the stories from the books. Could someone explain the short-sighted 'Rope' and 'Careless Rapture' joke (15:05) though, please?

    25:10 Tim is 100% incorrect. Those birds are all corvids, of the family Corvidae, but a crow and a rook and a raven and so on are all different species.

    You cant help but feel bad for Katharine Whitehorn, once more anitger >ntelligent well spoken woman reduced to a stooge that is denied challenges and is patronized atrociously any time she challenges Kenneth's behavior and delivery. That round on essentials, his delivery was so bloody quiet and slow, it was like he was trying to lull people to sleep.

    3:06:58. Stop playing making sheep's eyes at the audience. Since Sheep's Eyes was the subject that ended the previous episode I wouldn't be surprised if this was a recording from that same episode or rather they record two or.more at one instance.

    The Willie Rushton episode has been edited, cuz there sre bits i remembernthat arent oncluded. They include sheilas more exasperated arguing, mentioning about getting under way and Kenneth retaliating with 'youve practically slipped anchor' and when she got challenged by Oeter she says 'ive said my pal, ive said my mate, i cant say my friend again cuz i repeated it all.' And he states again, 'but we dont know anything about her', and thats when she responds 'well if youd shut your face ill tell you!'

  • @bobbyshaddoe3004
    @bobbyshaddoe3004 9 днів тому

    1:31:13, sheila was right in her challenge for deviation, cuz ken was going off about the reign of Victoria. Ken never established her reign was full of promises. Its another instance of kenneth being placated to stop his tantrums and interruptions

    1:09:17 Clement did repeat United States. But then again I'm not surprised at this, since.years later, someone would say case and then face, which are rhyming words, and nick would allow a challenge for repetition of 'case'.

    I'm curious -- all your MY MUSIC uploads have digital aliasing, as though transferred from a really low-resolution file. But your uploads of ALL your other shows are fine and don't have these artifacts. I've heard and own a lot of MY MUSIC recordings over the years, and nearly all of them are pretty good fidelity. Please contact me if you'd like to have alternate files for some of these recordings that don't have these artifacts. If I can help make these MY MUSIC montages sound better for you, I'd be happy to help! :)
