Coloring my World
Приєднався 9 лип 2013
Hi, everyone! I am on a journey to develop my fluid art techniques so that I can create beautiful art. I believe we all have inherited the urge and need to create beauty from our Creator, our Father God. I welccme all to join me on this journey. Together we can color our world.
Pyrol Red Flames! Very pretty even though not exactly what I was going for.
Hi, everyone! My goal was for this straight pour to have the phthalo blue in the middle with the other colors around it. Well, the blue didn't show up until the end. However, the pyrole red, pale yellow, and black gave me some really interesting results. It's a keeper! Thanks for watching! Please like & subscribe.

Beautiful Open Cup Pour (slosh) with a Gazillion Cells!
Переглядів 50Місяць тому
Hi everyone! I hope you have a wonderful and safe Labor Day. I can't believe summer is practically over. I did my first real open cup pour, real as in I love it and am keeping it! When I watched the video I noticed I kept saying MH1 instead of M-1. Sorry. Also, I noticed I don't have a very good technique in pouring my paint. It was more like sloshing than pouring. I will work on that. Paints u...

I used a funnel for pouring and even though my paints were thicker, they didn't stay the way I was hoping. Also, my black failed to produce cells. But oh, well! I liked it anyway. Color Inspiration from another artist. Not what I planned but like the results #cell explosion

This painting was inspired by a need to fill an empty space. But the colors and technique were inspired by WinterStromArt ua-cam.com/video/aOD9otPtXk4/v-deo.html. I didn't have the exact paints she used so tried to do substitution hue equivalents. Well, it didn't quite go as planned. My colors are pretty for the most part but not what I was going for. But, I hope you enjoy the video and learn f...

Problem with Cracking & Crazing--liquid art
Переглядів 2233 місяці тому
Hi, everyone! I have had some problems lately with cracking and crazing. So, I started researching the causes and trying to determine what is causing mine. During this bloom techique, I controlled the paint consistency by using the Soby recipe for all but the base coat. It is a 1:1 combo of Decoart Satin Enamel and Artist Loft White thinned with a little water. My problem improved but persisted...
BEAUTIFUL Dutch Pour!

Hi everyone! I just love this dutch pour! I took Olga Soby's art course and used her recipes. So while I've listed the colors, I haven't listed the ingredients. I am thrilled with the outcome even though I put too much paint on the canvas. I really hope you enjoy it. I also hope you enjoy the music. I've gone on medical mission trips to Africa (3X), India (2X), South America (1X), and Haiti (1X...
Beautiful swipe with rainbow colors on black background! Liquid art is soooo addicting!
Переглядів 563 місяці тому
I decided to do another swipe. This time, I wanted to use multiple colors that I have left over from previous pours. Also, I used white paint for the swipe to keep the colors bright. I love the results! These are paints I have used in previous pours so I have not listed them here. If you want to learn with me, please like and subscribe and we can color our world together.
Surprisingly awesome cells that disappeared? Loved it then hated it!

Trying for my Chinese Dragon again. Still not successful but really was surprised by the results! I loved them and was amazed by the cells I got. But 3 to 4 hours later they disappeared!!! Going to keep trying though. Base is Sherwin Williams (old) satin latex Ecru White puddle paint is Artist Loft White. I believe it may have some DecoArt white enamel in it but not sure Red and Yellow is Creat...
Botanical painting in blues and greens
Переглядів 1053 місяці тому
Hi everyone! I decided that I was going to try a Botanical painting the way Rinske Douna shows it at www.youtube.com/@RinskeDouna. It is a rather quick technique and a little more challenging than it looks. But, I did it and plan to do more. The paints are very liquid. They are mixed with Pebeo Acrylic Medium at a 1:1 ratio then thinned with water. The white paint is the thickest and that is po...
Not what I wanted but really like it anyway!

I want to paint a large Chinese Dragon using a swipe technique so decided to experiment on a smaller canvas. While it is definitely not a dragon, I love the results anyway. Enjoy and please like and subscribed! Happy Painting!
Bubble Wrap Painting with Beautiful Results!
Переглядів 224 місяці тому
Hi, Everyone! I did my first ever bubble wrap painting and love it. I learned the process from @gillykubeart. I apologize for the wet results as I had my camera too close. I will be more careful in the future. Also, I painted over the light pink with yellow. I didn't list my paints but can do so if anyone is interested. I hope you enjoy it and please like and subscribe! It's free!!!!
Comparison of Soby cell mix with PVA and Floetrol
Переглядів 155 місяців тому
I substituted equal parts of floetrol and pva with the Soby cell mixture for comparison. Her mixture is not revealed in keeping with my nondisclosure agreement. I chose taking Olga Soby's art class because I really like her esthetic. I was not disappointed because she approached the developement of her method very scientifically. But I was curious about comparing results since I have used both ...
I like the color combinations. Good job!
Thank you so much for saying that! And thanks for watching!
I think it turned out beautifully.
Thank you, Mary! I really appreciate that.
Very nice! Have fun....looking to do my shed floor
Wow! You mean with liquid art? How cool! I would love to see that!
Chase Fluid Art says that cells are caused by different paint viscosities and pigment densities (if I understand correctly). Some paints sink and some rise. You would have to watch his channel for the exact explanation 😊❤ It's a beautiful painting 👍
Wow! Thank you for that info! I really do try to mix my paints uniformly but have to confess that I don't do a drip test. I am trying to be more consistent as I learn about all the problems inconsistency can create. I will look at that channel! Thanks again.
Its ❤ beautiful 😍
I've learned that when you swipe, it's supposed to be a very light pressure at a slight angle. Maybe you were pushing just a little too hard? I know that I need lots of practice. Love your colors and it still looks beautiful ❤
Thank you for the info Lauren. Yes, I probably was pushing too hard. I need to practice, practice, practice. Hopefully, when summer is over I can do that. Thanks again!
I understand this is not what you were going for, but it came out so pretty! I love love love that you spun it out - I love spinning my paintings. It's such a great way to keep the shape of the design that you've got on the canvas and spread the paint out without having it distort in the process of tilting. I'm glad I found you - new subscriber!
You are precious! Thank you for your encouragement. Yes, I do like to spin them because it is less distorting.
Very nice work 😊
I would call this one a success!
Thank you so much!
LeftBrain, Tammy Anderson, Fiona, Olga Solby, Molly plus a number of other great acrylic artists to learn from.❤
I am familiar with them all except Tammy Anderson. I will look up her channel. Thanks!
Lovely painting. Regards Glenis
Thank you so much, Glenis. You are very kind!
Very beautiful. Keep it up. Very nice ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement! For some reason, liquid art is addictive
If you use Artist's Loft Soft Body White... be aware that the white cells it produces, eat the colored paints. Not sure what your base white was. The end piece is pretty. Jessica Winterstrom is a creative genius. 😊
Thank you so much, Kelli! Yes, my base was a 1:1 mixture of DecoArt Satin Enamel and Artist Loft White thinned with water. I will switch that out in the future. And I agree with your assessment of Jessica Winterstrom. She is a genius!
@@coloringmyworld10 try Chromacryl Medium Bodied Student's Acrylic.
@@KelliSmith-mj5hc Thank you! I will!
Yes I have had this happen to me a few times, for me I think my paints were too thick and some were too thin. It gives an interesting textured look to the painting, but it's also annoying if we want a smooth finish. Yes too much paint left on canvas can cause cracks, this also happened to me. Fluid art isn't as easy as it looks that's for sure. Still learning and experimenting. Thanks for your video 😊🎉
Thank you so much for your reply! Fluid art isn't easy and I am finding that out. It is also VERY messy!
Way to go for keep trying!😊
Thank you! Sometimes I feel like it is an exercise in futility. But then I can't help but have hope! Thanks so much for your encouragement and have a beautiful and Blessed day!
Yes, absolutely! And you ended up with such a pretty background. I loved that!
@@LoriPeace Thank you, Lori! I really liked the background as well!
Lovely, it has an Oriental feel to it.
Thank you for saying that! I love the oriental look and colors.
Looks like a dragon!!
I want to do a dragon but so far it hasn't turned out quite the way I envision.
@@coloringmyworld10 but it does!!!!
@@kristinaexpat3843 I looked at it again yesterday and you are right! Wow! Accidently achieved what I wanted. Now to duplicate it and give it a head of sorts. Thanks for pointing that out!
Beautiful!!!!
Thank you Kristina!
@@coloringmyworld10 My pleasure!! Thank you for the beauty!
Amazing 😊
Thank you for watching! I hope I can figure this out.
Love it . Great Job.
Thank you so much. I appreciate your comments.
Hello, that’s beautiful and unique. Love it.
Thank you so much!
Wow! The colors are more pale in the video than in reality. Sorry!
It is beautiful Vikki. Continue at it. It is original in its own way. I love it.
Thank you so much! You are awesome!
