How many times has a Narcissist told you they were going to do something tomorrow or next week and never did it? Worse yet, they don't even remember saying it! Worse yet they accuse you of making it up. That is because the future does not exist and neither does the past. If it's not happening now then the Narcissist is not engaging with it.
This is different than someone who just forgot. They usually admit to it later or remember at a later date, and they keep their promise. A Narcissist cannot, will not, nor acknowledge anything that happened in the past or make any solid plan for the future because neither exist.
