Tails Noir Blind Playthrough - Part 004 (Following leads)
That handholding in the elevator really wasn't necessary. The game is already simple enough. The visuals remain very nice. I like walking around in them.
Story progression (SPOILERS):
Howard follows the 2 leads. One of the leads has moved, so that lead turned into nothing. The 2nd lead was home, but just like the others she didn't wanna say much. Luckily Howard noticed she had a son besides her missing daughter. And she had to go to work. So Howard questioned the son while she was gone. He points him to a friend of his mother, Mai Lowder!
Howard went to her house, but she wasn't there. Only her brother. He talks with him instead. He says that Mai is gone missing as well. He says she was working at The Bite, and he didn't like it at all. But she seemed pretty obsessed with that place. Really liking Clarrisa! Getting promoted very quick also there.
He eventually tells Howard he has a lead as well. The first girl that got missing 'Rose". He thinks she must be the cause for everything that has happened. Howard has to find her mother. But the dude doesn't know where she lives.
We have to find that out next time!

Alright, playing this sandbox mode gives me a little bit of understanding and confidence in this game. Still not sure if I am ready for the 15 minute challenge. I have no idea how you can fix all the issues in this challenge. There are systems that have no components at all. The power turns off during electic storms. Multiple devices give errors. Stuff gets on fire! No oxygen... I'm still not sure I like this. I'll do sandbox mode next time and see if I can get to know the mechanics a bit more.

Alright, this is more difficult than I thought it was going to be. Biggest frustrating thing is that I can't seem to find the control panels of anything that I need. I had a great time for the 1 week I was there. It's a very fun city!
That weapon UI is so tiny, and the red illegality marker is even tinier. It is so easy to carry a weapon on your back and not notice, and suddenly everyone is hostile to you.
Happens every so often indeed. The indicator is a bit small, but behind it being a bit annoying at the moment itself, it doesn't really bother me. Just have to keep attention if there is a big gun hanging on his back.

When Lara slides down the ramp to go into the area where she faces the dragon there are two sets of doors: the ones behind the dragon which lead to the end of the level, and a second set of doors to the far left with a dragon on it. I wonder what lies behind that second set of doors? I don't think it leads back to the Floating Islands as others seem to think, purely because of how those doors in Floating Islands are positioned so close to the end of said level.
Mmh good question. I see the doors are there indeed, but I totally forgot about them because the dragon is quite some distraction. Perhaps there is just a hidden treasure or something?
@JTW3D Could be a hidden treasure, or other artifacts like the dagger. Or maybe another dragon, or possibly even another monster far scarier and far more powerful than the dragon?
@@RichyMaths I don't know if that door is accessible. If it's not then it is most likely just for decoration. Another dragon seems unlikely because the game implies the dagger was special in transforming someone into a dragon. It is after all the end boss of the game. So I don't think there is a bigger enemy behind some door that is probably just decoration.
Yes, that stupid keyhole is invisible. Made me get stuck there as well. Had to look up a walkthrough only to be told it's right there...

You did wise taking a break mid way through this level. This second half isn't too bad, but after the frustrating earlier part the map just overstays its welcome.

I remembered from an earlier playthrough that you had to close those doors again to get that one 'key'. But the one at 47:56 I just completely missed since it's in just a random room on the way to other places. Very annoying.
It looks like a death corner. The only hint is the broken glass below, which indicates that you have to do something there. But I didn't think about it at that time.

Forgot how lethal those snowmobiles were, I think the M16 is best until they get close
This part felt like playing some Dark Souls haha. Most difficult part of the game yet. The M16 is nice, but stops shooting when making certain movements. Maybe I should use it more often when engaging from a distance indeed.

The aggressive AI of those 2 snowmobiles caught me by surprise. This is the remaster, I recommend it if you want to play through these games again.

I made a photo of that bridge to send to someone and tell him how that bridge is so unlogical with just a swith at the end of it. But often when standing still I am away to the toilet, or getting a snack or someone is talking to me or having to do some small household chore.

haha, I couldn't believe there wasn't a secret door somewhere. I was so possitive there was one. Also standing still at some moments, and checking which achievements I could unlock here. The "find the golden treasur" one made me even more convinced there had to be a secret room. But it is just that small little chest of gold in that one tunnel I just happened not to go into.

It is a bit frustrating when you think you are on the official route, only to find out it's a secret area. this is my biggest pet peeve with these games as well. Stuck for ages, finally find a path to go, and then the dreaded secret jingle plays. Worse sound than nails on a chalkboard
It really is an annoying sound when you think you are finally progressing.
