    Although all alcohol is created equal...is wine beneficial in any way like blood health? what about a few beers 1-2 times a month? i.e. - 2-3 beers in 1 sitting 1-2 times a month. still very harmful?

    Thank you for explaining this so well ! so well that I've watched twice now and feel thoroughly informed in a way I've not been before . I've been trying for several years to stop and have several times, once for 14 months ! each time i fall back to that glass of wine because , well because i think i deserve it or i like the taste ( do i really ?) or because i can enjoy with my husband or friends etc all the reasons ! I'm nearly 60 and need my sleep more than ever ( so many nights of insomnia ) I'm running for a charity this month and want to continue my health and fitness journey . Sorry waffling now ! i just really wanted to thank you for this clear and powerful video

    Had social anxiety like issues since school time . Never got diagnosed & kept within me.then to avoid it I drank alcohol on weekends ( 4-5 pegs /2-beer )for 3-4 years. There were gaps of 2-3 weeks also in b/w. The day after the day i got drank i got my first panic attack i.e 13 jan 2024(felt heart attack first as i didn't new what was panic attack( heart racing , nausea, dizziness, world going to end etc.) rushed to the hospital to emergency they told me it was panic attack & asked about the alcohol intake time & symptoms of nausea, dizziness etc and then they prescribed me lorazepam for 1 week . I felt great but also b/w i got panics but dealt with it. Afterwards i was on mirtazpine 7.5 mg it was sedation hell for me for first 2-3 days & got better with my depression, low mood was almost gone away. Then after 50 days on it, i was prescribed naltrexone with stop on mirtazpine .It made my mood low & irritated for 15 days of use. Abnormal heart beat often through the day. Told about this to doc & prescribed me camprol 333mg 2- thrice a day.Now today i have started it lets see. No cravings i have now but being anxious & pounding heart 5 minutes in totall throughout the day. I dunno whether these are protracted alcohol withdrawal or something else. Lets see......

    I have been an aerobic instructor since I was 27. I had no problems until menopause. I eat clean, teach spin, Zumba, weight train(I want to compete and lift heavy), and suddenly developed all these issues after menopause. I gained 50 pounds while working out and counting macros. I can’t exercise more or cut more carbs unless I go carnivore. I’m lost and need help.

    Thank you, this is scary after 55 years of drinking, I have had interim periods with AA, etc but always back to drinking. The video is explicit in the dangers awaiting, I can attest. My goal is to make this the first day of forever. It’s downright dangerous to drink when you’re past 80. This helps, I just need to stop being wisy/washy about commitment! 🙏🤞

    Really great video. Thank you. Question: let's say you have a couple of drinks Friday night. At what point does the liver finish dealing with that naughty kid in class so it can get back to doing what it is supposed to be doing? Along those lines, does limited drinking, e.g., one night a week, set your health goals back to where you'll never make progress, or that you'll hit a plateau? I enjoy the ambience created by a finely crafted cocktail, and I want to have my drink and drink it, too (kind of like the cake saying). Basically, assuming you're drinking responsibly, how often can you have a drink before it makes it impossible to gain ground on your fitness goals?

    Im 31. I drank & smoked every single day for 10 years. Destroyed my heart & lungs, all my relationships. Broke my family's hearts. Ill never drink again. If i do ill definitely die in a few years my heart is screwed now

    Alcohol and cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my husband which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

      Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.

      Yes very sure of Dr.benfungi. They helped me too to overcome my anxieties and get to the root of much of my "mental Illness" which is all rooted from trauma, abusive relationship and a chaotic childhood and addiction. Shrooms made a huge huge impact to why am totally free today.

    I enjoyed the reckless life of boozing and recreational drug taking throughout my youth. It was sn endless party of sorts, which I imagined life dhould be. However, it left me with nothing to show for those years besides some boorish tales of excess and a complete lack of fulfilled potential. Would I do the same if I could go back? Nope. I would take the socialising and fun parts and ditch the booze, which as I realise was a crutch, used to mask feelings of insecurity. At 50, I can enjoy any situation without drinking and if on occasion I add drinking I often think, why, as it never particularly enhances my enjoyment. All I can say is, personally, I NEVER regret waking up after NOT having had a drink.

    I ate eggs with smoked salmon for breakfast. Lunch I had 5 oz salmon my food intake app says i have had 605 mg of cholesterol.

    Didnt't drink for one month now and sadly I have to say I don't have any positive side effects besides better sleep. I'm not better in my workouts, I don't have better mood, I don't feel "more awake" or something like this (aka no brainfog). With my mood it's actually more of the opposite. I feel like I'm a totally boring person now. No more funny, stupid jokes or anything like that. Just a normal boring human being. Hope this will change to a more positive feeling, else my long-term-motivation isnt't that great to be honest. At the moment I'm just staying sober for the sake of the seemingly health-benefits (which I don't feel as already said).

    Thanks for a very informative video. Has been a regular "weekend drinker" for over 35 years. As a cycling fan (with high blood pressure), I decided to take a step up and then I had to stop drinking alcohol. Have been alcohol-free for over 2 months and a "new world" opened up. EVERYTHING works much better and haven't regretted it for a second. I've probably helped the brewing industry for the last time 🙂

    Almost 6 months without alcohol. Lifetime drinker considering I thought I was a moderate drinker but in reality according to the experts I was in the heavy drinking category! Over 15 drinks a week. Really not that difficult for me after breaking the habit. Not a huge life changer but definitely sleep has improved. Hopefully it will have a positive impact on my health. Stay tuned

    The metabolites of alcohol take at least 72 hours to be eliminated. If you are drinking at a greater frequency than every 3 days, the effects are cumulative. Take heed.

    Thanks for this. I drink occasionally, mainly at social events, maybe 10 times a year. Now when I was in college-my friends have a few drunk stories on me-but those days are long gone. Now I’m just going to stop altogether.

    This is garbage. Some doctors are shoving this down the throats of their patients who already pay ridiculous rates on insurance each month and for patients who really don’t need it. Patients who have been with these MDs for years are being sent away if they don’t subscribe to this nonsense and the doctors are saying they are being pressured to have patients in enroll. The healthcare in this country continues to go downhill with crap like this instead focusing on the real gaps that already exist in healthcare. Shameful.

    Seems like the suppression in the frontal cortex and thalymus is what helps drinkers fall asleep. To me, that is a good. I'm trying to quit to lose weight. I've gained a pound a year for 20 years. Time to drop 20 lbs...

    Food for thought. 🤔 BTW my tolerance is 8 to 12 🍻 every night. I'm on the third year of my paleo journey, low carb diet and activity. OMAD and intermittent fasting are my sweet spot because of the appetite control. My VA blood work is stellar, A1C 5.2, HDL 109, LDL 102, triglycerides 54. My 2X week strength training and HIIT workouts are on track. 🍻 for me is a reward, I've always been a work then play guy. Never a day drinker, no hangovers, some belly fat but I don't care at age 68, as long as blood work, energy and can do my workouts. 💪🙏 Feel lucky.

    I’m 20 days free. And as someone who’s really into fitness and wanting to also optimize my mind for business growth I decided to eliminate it for some time. I’m also 30 in a month and I don’t need alcohol on top of the aging process lol. I’m not saying forever, but I take it a day at a time. But I will say my mind already feels like it’s working better. I’m not saying it is where it was before I started drinking at 22, but I can feel it slowly getting there. It’s starting to really ramp on creativity again, my mood is much better, and my progress in the gym is on the up. One of the best parts is a lot of aches have reduced significantly. I thought it was just because I was getting older and still pushing the envelope in the gym. But without alcohol my pain level has reduced so much.
