Rich Dangel was a legend here in Seattle, and also a musician peer pal of mine. He personally introduced me to Rocco Prestia, bassist of Tower of Power, who popped into Rich's gig at the Scarlet Tree after Tower of Power gigged The Bit of Seattle. I was just popping into Rich's Jam Session at the Tree after seeing Tower of Power at the festival. Rich Dangel is the dude who came up with the arrangement for Louie, Louie that the Kingsman copied and later became world famous. My twin brother (drummer) caught The Doobie Brothers (in their low ebb in the '90s?). After the show, he is chatting up their famous guitarist Skunk Baxter (Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan), and he asks, "Hey, man, what's Rich up to?" Rich Dangel's reputation stretched all across the West Coast from Seattle to LA. Rich Dangel was a cool and mellow cat. His Jam Session was very tightly regulated for quality control. The musicians had to know of you and recommend you to even sit in because it was high-quality musicianship only. Me (guitarist) and my twin brother (drummer) would go virtually every week to the Scarlett Tree, and we only watched for the first 2 years before we even asked to sit in on their break. One of the cats vouched for us as being legit. After that, we were asked up every week, but man, it was the best scene in town. Half of Tower of Power showed up that one week I met Rocco outside, and a few of them sat in too. Rich's Jam session is where I met half of the cats that I knew on the scene back then. I met my pal Bryant Urban and we went on to form Urban Oasis (Brasilian Jazz) a group that was one of the most successful with a partnership that lasted 14 years. All of that happened because Rich's scene was the hippest. We miss him. :'(

West Coast garage psych. Tuff two-sider, their only single. They went on to become WILDWOOD, releasing just two singles. As Wildwood their sound developed into heavier pdych with organ like The Doors, Iron Butterfly, Steppenwolf. Singer Frank Colli"s gravelly voice is unique. They originated in Stockton, CA. If you dig this record, then check out Wildwood

Cool riff, but suuuuper racist.

Huge fan of Aragorn black ice 7". This isn't bad. Hearing some kiss in there.

It's weird considering the tune is so great and the sound so beautiful more was not made of this song.
