Textiles East Fair, is normally a textile event in Cambridgeshire; which aims to provide a dynamic, active platform for textile artists to exhibit and retailers to showcase their beautiful products for purchase. However due to covid, the event for 2021 normally held on the second weekend of the February half term has been cancelled.
The fair is a small family run event, originally started by Claire Cousins to exhibit the work of ERTF. The textiles enthusiasts of the family include Claire's sister Michelle and Claire's daughter Lotte, now the current organizer of the event.
The fair has grown in popularity and continues to promote the beautiful textile art work produced by other groups around East Anglia.
We intent to upload videos from our home, sharing inspiration and ideas; plus videos and photos sent to us from our traders.
All videos start with a track called "She No Dull Beat" by the artist Nana Kwabena.

Hi claire, what's that interfacing called? I'm in the uk. I used felt and wadding b4, always looking for new ideas. What a beautiful fabric book.
It is pelmet vilene here is a good supplier www.mellymadedesigns.com/product-page/s80-interfacing
Loving your videos, ive tried stamping on fabric b4 but its not turned out great. I will have another go after watching you. Your stitching is beautiful.
Really pretty too, just watched the seaside version you did. Great idea. What theme's next then?
Thank you. Still waiting to be inspired for the next one. Any suggestions?
Lovely colours, this looks like fun.

Your work is fascinating. I am very interested in learning how to add wire to textile art!
So glad you find my work interesting. If you want to know how I add wire to textiles here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/bjCvnLgR7G4/v-deo.html. Happy stitching.♥️🧵🪡
Thank you, this was just what I was looking for.
Glad it helped. Happy crafting.🪡🧵♥️
I'm not confidant enough to prevent the material from fraying.. you just tootle through. Love it.
The knack is to choose fabrics that do not fray easily, which is why I use batiks. You can use a bondaweb or wunderunder before cutting them out. Happy crafting.
Thankyou ❤️ amazing
I’ve had a similar pen-problem in the past. For your other notebooks, you might want to try my workaround which is to add a magnetic bookmark on the back cover (or last couple of pages). I use the type that folds over and adheres to itself. I allow it to extend about a half an inch above the upper edge of the notebook and I clip a pen to it. I always know where my pen is. I don’t always know where the refills are however, that is still an issue, lol.😊
That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing.♥️🧵🪡

I have to say you inspired me and I’ve spent this afternoon playing with pieces of fabric. Totally absorbing and enjoyable so thank you very much. Rather than making a book I was experimenting with putting the designs onto small canvas boards.

Hi Claire, are you only using straight stitch?
It is called freemotion. The machine length and width are set to 0 and the dogteeth feed is dropped. Then you can move the fabric in any direction.
@@TextilesEastFair Yea. You can also use zig zag which is amazing
❤❤ love it....awesome ❤️ 😍
